AtivaFit Spin Bike Review

The AtivaFit spin bike is an excellent indoor bike for beginners.

It’s built solidly and has the capability to increase resistance as you improve your fitness level.

You can also track workouts through a digital LCD monitor to measure your progress.

With the ability to be adjusted, this spin bike can be used by a lot of people.

Let’s dig in to this review!

Assembly

Inside the box you’ll have all the necessary tools to put it together.

Assembly took about 30 minutes and once it’s put together, it looks great!

One Size Fits Many

Handlebars

The spin bike’s handlebars are completely rubberized for a secure grip.

You have a whole lot of room to hold on to them.

You can grab them with hands close to each other, apart, or put your forearms on them.

From the side you can see a pull out knob right below the handlebars.

This lets you adjust the handlebars vertically.

There’s 5 levels of up and down adjustments.

Seat

The seat is made of a wide and comfortable cushion.

Stitching and upholstery on the seat looks top notch.

Right below the seat you’ll see a black knob.

Loosening and tightening that knob allows you to slide the seat back and forth to get you closer to the handlebars.

You can also adjust the height of the seat.

Below and to the front of the seat there’s a pull out knob.

You can adjust the seat height to 8 different settings.

Trasmission

The Ativafit indoor spin bike is very quiet.

This is made possible because of its belt driven transmission.

The belt is connected to the pedals and the 35 lbs flywheel.

Resistance Mechanism

Right smack in the middle of the bike frame, there’s a tension knob.

Turning or pushing it down engages the brake pad.

To increase resistance turn it to the right.

To decrease resistance turn it to the left.

Pressing the knob all the way down pushes the break pad straight into the flywheel to completely stop it.

You can see the break pad right above the flywheel.

Just like breaks on a car, over time wear and tear will happen and you’ll have to replace them.

These types of break pads usually last 6 to 12 months depending on the level of resistance you use.

Replacement is very inexpensive and simple to do.

Performance Tracking

Right in between the handlebars you have the performance tracker.

This is an LCD monitor / electronic device holder.

You’ll need to get a pair of AA batteries to get the screen going.

The monitor tracks your time, speed, distance, calories burned, and odometer.

Right below the screen you can set your smart phone or tablet to keep you entertained.

Pedals

The pedals are made of hard plastic with a cage around them.

The strap is adjustable to make it fit tightly around your shoes.

The metal buckle on the outside of the pedal lets you adjust the length of the strap.

Stability

The AtivaFit spin bike stands 36″ long by 19″ wide, making it very stable.

At the bottom of the legs you also have rubber, non-slip feet.

The front leg also has adjustable feet.

The feet can be turned clockwise/counter clockwise to increase or decrease the height of each leg.

This is useful when you have uneven floors.

Mobile

On the front leg you have a couple of wheels.

The wheels are welded to the front leg and suspended off the floor.

When you need to move the bike, just grab it by its handles and tilt it forward so the wheels touch the floor.

Then roll it wherever you need to without having to lift anything!

Beverage Holder

Right in the middle of the bike you have a bottle holder.

It’s made of plastic material and it’s split in the middle.

The middle split gives you the option to hold different sized bottles.

Is the AtivaFit Spin Bike Worth It?

Overall, I feel this is a great spin bike for beginners.

You get everything you need and it’s adjustable.

The monitor is not fancy but it helps to keep track of the essentials.

This helps to keep the cost of the bike down while still giving you a good workout.

The bike’s adjustable resistance can give you as tough a workout as you can handle.
