The Beyond Power Travel Platform is a wooden floor mount that I can use to train while on the go.
It’s a step on platform where I can anchor my Voltra 1 cable machine when I don’t have a squat rack available.
It’s simple, locks my Voltra down low, and I can knock a few exercises from anywhere.
Let’s check it out!

The travel platform came surrounded with cardboard all around so it had nowhere to move while in the box.
The platform has a mount for the Voltra 1 on top, a handle on the bottom, and is layered on top with grip material.
I’m not exactly sure why it has basketball lines on it but I know Beyond Power works with athletes so that might have to do something with it.

What Is The Beyond Power Travel Platform?
As the name suggests, the travel platform is made for people who own a Beyond Power Voltra cable machine and travel often.
It’s a lightweight, portable way to mount the cable machine and train on the go.
I can see this being used by personal trainers who take their equipment to clients’ homes or bootcamps, where cable machines aren’t available.
Top Benefits of the Travel Platform
Portable
I like that I can throw this in my car and take it anywhere.
Whether I’m taking it on a flight or just wanna do an outdoor workout in my backyard, it’s easy to transport and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
Ready To Use
Once I place the Voltra on the mount, it automatically locks itself in place.
Nothing extra to set up.
Love the simplicity!
Best Features of the Beyond Power Travel Platform
Thick Build
The platform is made of 1″ thick Maple wood.
I feel this is a good thickness so it can withstand the Voltra’s 200 lbs of resistance without breaking.
Built-in Mount
The built-in mount locks the Voltra 1 unit automatically.
I can max out the unit at 200 lbs of resistance and the mount keeps it locked down to the platform.
Rubber Underside
The bottom is lined with rubber so that the platform doesn’t move around while I’m using it.
With my weight on top of the platform I don’t foresee any slipping, but it’s good to have that added stability.
Grip Tape Top
Because of the grip tape surface, my shoes stay in place.
I don’t recommend using this barefoot because if you drag your toes on it, it’ll cut you.
Exercises Using The Platform
With the platform being floor based, I only have one anchor point to work with but I can still get creative…
I use different attachments and other home gym equipment to get a lot done.
Squats & RDL’s
I like to do squats and Romanian deadlifts with a squat harness.
With the harness I can go straight from squats to RDL’s so I prefer to use this over a belt squat belt.
Reverse Lunges
For reverse lunges I place one foot off to one side of the Voltra and step back with the other.
I like to do these with a D-handle on one side around shoulder level.
Then switch sides to hit the other leg.
Lateral Raises
Just like with the lunges, I do lateral raises one side at a time.
Front Raises
Front raises can be done unilaterally or bilaterally.
Here I’m doing a unilateral shoulder raise…
And this is a low to high cable fly.
Calf Raises
For calf raises I have to improvise so I set my slant ramps next to the Voltra.
This way I can do the calf raises and get a full stretch on the bottom.
Bicep Curls
For this one I can go one arm at a time, use a short straight bar, or go with my favorite, the TGrip Maxx cable attachment.
I prefer the TGrip Maxx bar because using the ergonomic grip options don’t flare up my Golfer’s elbow.
Thrusters
I use the same TGrip Maxx bar for thrusters.
Keep it at shoulder level when I squat down then push press it on the way up.
Bent Over Rows
Then for bent over rows, I just set my hips back, and pull my elbows back.
I’m sure there’s other exercise I can come up with if I get creative enough.
The point is that there’s plenty I can do with this simple platform.
Travel Platform Price
The travel platform retails for $199 which is a bit steep but after using it and seeing how much I can do with it, I see the value.
Beyond Power currently does not issue any discount codes so unfortunately, I don’t have a coupon code to share with you.
If that happens to change in the future, I will update this section.
Beyond Power Travel Platform Alternative
Arena Platform
The closest product to the travel platform that I’ve used, is the Arena Platform.
Just like the Voltra 1, it has variable resistance settings so that’s something they have in common.
Biggest difference between the two is the size…
Arena is a raised step up platform (36″L x 23.5″ Wx 9.5″ H) and Beyond Power’s uses more of a minimalistic approach to theirs.
So as far as portability goes, Beyond Power has the edge.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Versatile: I can do bicep curls, squats, RDL’s, lateral raises, shoulder presses, reverse lunges, thrusters, and more…
- Non-slip: Grip tape on top gives keeps my feet from slipping
- Stable: Rubber underside prevents the platform from moving on the floor
- Portable: Small and light enough to fit in luggage or take anywhere
- Build: Made of durable Maple wood
Cons
- Limited exercises: I can only do exercises from the floor up so I can’t change my anchor point like when I use the Voltra on my squat rack
My Experience Using The Travel Platform
I love simple set ups like the travel platform.
It allows me to get a lot done in a small space.
I’ve used it for both compound and isolation exercises so I get the versatility needed in a home gym.
Conclusion: Should You Buy The Travel Platform?
If you’re someone who travels a lot and doesn’t like miss workouts, then this is a good option.
Since it doesn’t take up a lot of space, it can be used from a hotel room making it convenient to workout at any time.
This is also good for personal trainers who train clients privately from their home or do bootcamps where you have limited equipment.
Overall, I like that it’s a portable, space saving option to get a good cable machine workout.
