The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip handle is a 2-in-1 cable attachment that gives me more options than a regular D-handle.
It has a unique design where the inside of the handle is hollow and the strap is double ended.
This way I can use it as a regular D-handle or slide the strap through the handle to transform it into a hammer grip handle.
Let’s check it out!

The pistol grip handles are simple and at first they look like regular D-handles but they are more than just that (more on that later on).
First impression is that they look small in width compared to other D-handles I’ve used but I’ll have to test them out and see how they feel.
The ergonomic handles are made of hard plastic and look like a pistol handle, hence their name.
A strap runs freely through the center of the handle and each end has its own carabiner.

What Is The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle?

The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip handle is a double ended handle that can be used as a D-handle and hammer grip handle.
It’s uniqueness comes from the hollow center and the double ended strap.

I can connect both straps to a cable machine and use it like a regular cable attachment…
Or I can slide the strap all the way through to one end and use it as a hammer grip handle.

Here’s what that looks like when I connect it to my Voltra cable machine.
The top carabiner is connected on one end and the other carabiner prevents the strap from going through the handle.
And I can slide the strap all the way through to the other end to do low to high exercises.
Very smart design because I don’t lose the ergonomic grip regardless of how I anchor the strap.
Top Benefits Of The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle
Two Handles In One

At first glance this looks like a regular D-handle.
But the double ended strap gives it a lot more uses.

And I still use it for pushing and pulling exercises.
Plus the ergonomic grip gives me a solid, comfortable grip.

But if you look closer at the sides of the handle, you’ll notice it’s hollow with a couple of notches right next to the hole.
And those notches are there for a reason…

When I unclip one of the double ended strap, the handle slides all the way to the other end of the strap until it’s touching one of the carabiners.
So it becomes a hammer grip handle.

The notches are there so the carabiner fits like a puzzle and prevents the handle from falling off the strap.
Simple idea that gives the handle more versatility.

Best Features Of The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle
Ergonomic Grip

The handle has an ergonomic design with curves and peaks that make it easy to fit my hand and fingers.
So regardless of if I’m using it like a D-handle or a hammer grip handle, the handle feels like it’s fitted to my hand.

Here’s a close up of what that looks like.
One thing I do want to mention, is that the handle is 4″ wide so for people with real big hands it might be a tight fit.
Double Ended Strap
Handles At The Bottom

With the handle at the bottom I can use the Pistol Grip handle like a tricep rope.
I can use both straps on the same cable machine, separate cable machines, both arms at the same time, or train each arm individually.

Here I set them up on separate cable machines and I’m using both arms at the same time.
I use this set up for tricep extensions and rear delt flys.

If I wanna put all my focus on one arm at a time then I just use one handle.
The strap pivots right at the top of the handle so I don’t feel any strain on my wrist.

Here’s a close up of what that looks like.
I can see why the 4″ wide handle is a better option for this type of handle.
If it was longer, the strap would pivot further away from my hand and that would cause my wrist unneccesary strain.

And I can also set both handles on the same cable machine and use it like a tricep rope.
I use this setup for tricep extensions, face pulls, straight arm pulldowns, and weighted crunches.
Handles At The Top

The other position is sliding the handle to the top of the strap.
It works the same way except I’m anchoring the handle at the bottom.

What’s important is that I get to keep the ergonomic grip.
Every tricep rope with an ergonomic handle loses the ergonomic grip when turned upside down.

Here’s what I mean…
The GymPin tricep rope has an ergonomic handle and it works wellf for tricep exercises.
But if I flip it upside down and try to do hammer curls with it, the handles sit upside down and I lose the ergonomic grip.

But the double ended strap on the Bullet Pulley pistol grip handle eliminates that issue.
So I always maintain an ergonomic grip on every exercise.

I can use this to do single arm hammer curls or hook up both straps for dual hammer curls.
This is also the handle position I use for face pulls.

UClips Smille Handle

The UClips Smile Handle is the original 2-in-1 handle and it has a barbell feel to it.
It’s heavy, aggressively knurled, has a long 4 7/8″ handle, and I can use it as a standard handle, or as hammer grip.
A pair of Smile Handle will cost you $70.
Prime Fitness Kaz Handles

Prime Fitness Kaz Handles work the same way as the Pistol Grip handles.
The biggest difference is the handle shape and price.
Kaz Handles are cone shaped, made out of metal, and knurled.
As far as the price goes, Prime sells this one for $125.
My Experience Using The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle

I like the Pistol Grip handles a lot because of their multiple uses.
They’re simple, can take on a lot of weight, and very affordable.
Anytime I get equipment that can replace multiple products, it’s a win.
I get more use out of it and also reduces clutter.
Is The Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle Worth It?

If you like to train with cable machines, you’ll lose the versatility of the Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip handles.
Use it like a regular D-handle then unclip one end and you have a hammer grip cable attachment.
Clip them both together and you have an ergonomic tricep rope.
Best of all, it’s only $30!
