The Comfier neck massager is a Shiatsu massager I use on recovery days.

It feels great especially after doing heavy shoulder shrugs or simply just to relieve tension in my neck and upper back after a stressful day at work.

Best of all, I can just sit back and get massaged while I’m watching tv.

Let’s check it out!

Unboxing

unboxing the comfier neck massager

The neck massager just came wrapped in a bag.

Even though this is an electronic, I don’t think anything else was needed since it doesn’t have anything like glass that can be easily be broken.

And this is the neck massager once I took it out of the box.

It’s one piece with nothing to assemble.

All it is, is a strap that goes over my neck and upper back with massage does in the middle.

I’ll give you more details about it in a second…

What Is The Comfier Neck Massager?

The Comfier shiatsu neck massager is a hands-free neck massager that targets the neck and upper back muscles.

I’ve used similar neck massagers in the past that required my hands to be on it constantly but this one has a back strap that keeps it in place.

And because it has rechargeable batteries, it’s easy for me to use it anywhere for as long as 70 minutes at a time with a full charge.

It has a small control panel on the right that’s user friendly.

It has a power button, mode button, heat button, and speed button.

Every time I turn it on, it runs for 10 minutes which is plenty to feel relief.

Here’s what the neck massager looks like from the back.

In this pic I don’t have the back strap on so I’m using the arm straps to keep it on me.

You can see there’s two nodes that go on my upper back and move in an up and down direction.

The other two sit on the sides of my neck and move in a side to side direction which feels really good.

I recorded a short clip so you can see how the nodes move.

The peanut shaped nodes at the top are my favorite but the bottom ones feel good too.

Press the play button in the video above so you can see.

Top Benefits Of The Comfier Neck Massager

Hands-Free Massage

comfier hands free neck massager

One of the things I love about this neck massage is that I can use it hands-free.

It has an adjustable back strap that keeps the massager on my neck so I can be doing just about anything while I get a massage.

I can be relaxing on my couch, doing house chores, or walking… all without having to hold it with my hands.

Cordless

rechargeable neck massager

When I’m really sore I like to stay active by walking because it helps me recover faster.

So I’ve been wearing the neck massager while I’m on my treadmill.

I wouldn’t be able to do this comfortably if it had a cable attached to it.

With it being cordless, I can use it anywhere without having to rely on an electrical outlet.

Washable

If you look closely, in the picture above you can see there’s a zipper below the nodes.

I like this because I share this massager with my wife and kids so it’s bound to get dirty.

With constant rubbing and massaging on multiple necks, it will pick up some dirt but this cover is removable and washable.

We try to use this after showering but that doesn’t always happening so I like having the option to wash it.

Best Features Of The Comfier Neck Massager

Massage Nodes

comfier neck massager reviews 11

There are four nodes on the neck massager.

The top two are peanut shaped and about 3.5″ long so they cover a lot of space on my neck.

And the two on the bottom are smaller in size and help to relieve tension from my upper trapezius muscles.

I’ve already shown you a video of how the nodes move but here are a couple of pics breaking down the movement.

The top nodes move out at the same time that the bottom nodes move down.

And then they do the opposite.

Top nodes come in while the bottom nodes are coming up.

Other neck massagers I’ve used only focused on the neck but this one feels much because of the addition of the bottom nodes.

When I get stressed, both my upper back and neck get tense so this design makes sense.

Modes

The control panel on the right shoulder strap makes it easy to control the massager.

There’s a power button at the bottom and three others above it.

I’ll start at the top button and work my way down.

Top button controls the speed of the nodes. I can set this at low or high.

Next button is for the heat. I can set this to low, high, or turn it off.

And the last button is mode. This lets me switch the pattern of the massage nodes to 3 different ways.

Arm Straps

At the end of the shoulder straps there’s two loops where I can insert my arms (arm straps).

And even though I don’t use the arm straps much since the back strap keeps the massager in place, I do like them when I want a deep massage.

When I want to get a deep tissue massage, I pull down on the arm straps.

This way I can put more pressure on my upper back and neck if I’m feeling real stiff.

I don’t always use it but I like having the option to do so.

Comfier Neck Massager Pros & Cons

comfier neck massager pros and cons

Pros

  • Cordless: I don’t have to be close to a wall outlet so I can use this anywhere
  • Nodes: Four nodes moving in different directions cover a bigger area than other neck massagers that only target the neck
  • Hands-free: The back strap allows me to fully relax by not having to hold on to the massager while I’m using it
  • Heat: The heat feels really good on my neck and a combination of the nodes and heat helps to relieve tension even more
  • Arm straps: I use these to pull down and get a deep tissue massage
  • Price: After trying this out, I’m surprised Comfier sells it for such a low price.

Cons

  • Cover: Nodes cover can get dirty with constant use but it is removable and washable. I use the massager after I shower so my skin is not dirty.

Comfier Neck Massager Alternatives

NekTeck Shiatsu Neck Massager

The NekTeck shiatsu neck massager gets the upper back area with some rotating nodes.

It also gives me the ability to use heat, change direction of the nodes, and the speed.

But it is not cordless and I have to keep my hands on the arm straps at all times.

My Experience Using The Comfier Neck Massager

When I first got the neck massager, I had no idea what the back strap was for because I’d never seen it in other neck massagers I’ve used.

But when I figured out that it lets me go hands-free, I haven’t used my hands ever since.

The heat feels really good around my neck, and the 4 nodes working together really help me to relax my neck and upper back.

So whether I’m using it to relieve sore muscles or just to relieve tension, the neck massager works really well.
