JaxJox Interactive Studio is a full body workout machine with artificial intelligence.
It combines strength training, cardio, and recovery in a small set up with a bad ass 43″ rotating screen.
The whole set up comes with adjustable dumbbells, adjustable kettlebell, vibrating foam roller, and a push up station.
All these track your performance so you know exactly how you’re doing from workout to workout.
Set Up
The whole JaxJox system was delivered in a pallet with a bunch of boxes with all its components.
JaxJox set it up so that the delivery company took care of the assembly.
They did a great job at setting everything up quickly.
All I had to do was connect the system to my WiFi and hit the power button which was great.
Features
43″ Touch Screen TV
The 4K TV looks massive and can be rotated and tilted.
Once you start a workout, you have the option to tilt the screen down or rotate it.
You can do that by pressing the buttons on the bottom right of the screen.
The first button tilts the screen down 15 degrees.
Normally the screen sits at a slight angle.
When you press that button, it angles it down more.
This is helpful if you’re doing a workout on the floor.
When the workout starts, the TV is in the vertical position.
If you want to make it rotate 90 degrees, tap the button on the bottom right.
The workout will pause and the TV will turn 90 counter-clockwise so that it’s in a horizontal position.
To switch it back to vertical, just tap the screen icon again.
Tap anywhere on the screen and it will pull up some options for you.
You can pause the video, rewind it, fast forward it, or end your workout.
At the bottom of the touch screen you have two menus.
The screen control menu and the music menu.
When you tap on the screen menu, you can control 5 settings.
Instructor volume, background music volume, screen brightness, mute, and TV power.
Tap the menu icon again to remove the settings from the screen.
When you tap on the music control menu, you get a music player.
You can like, dislike, pause, or skip the song that’s playing.
If you tap the top left of the music player you can change the genre of music.
JaxJox Dumbbell Connect
JaxJox Dumbbell Connect is a pair of dumbbells that replaces an entire rack of weights.
This packs 16 dumbbells into two adjustable dumbbells.
The dumbbells’ design keeps them from taking up too much space.
On the inside of the dumbbell cradle you’ll see a small screen displaying the weight selected.
Right next to the screen you have a ( – ) and ( + ) button to change weight.
With the push of a button, you can increase or drop weight in 6 lbs increments.
Weight ranges: 8, 14, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, and 50 lbs.
You can also adjust the weight on the dumbbells by using the touch screen up and down arrows.
Each cradle has slots where each weight plate fits.
Right in the center portion of the cradles there’s sensors that work with the software to adjust the weight.
Those sensors connect to the bottom of the dumbbells.
The sides of the dumbbells have grooves that fit right into the cradles.
And the bottoms are flat so that they don’t roll around when they’re on the floor.
The top of the dumbbells has the JaxJox branding.
You can have up to 7 weight plates on each side.
Knurling on the handle is passive.
So far it’s felt good and haven’t had any issues with the dumbbells slipping off my hands.
Kettlebell Connect 2.0
Kettlebell Connect 2.0 is an adjustable kettlebells that has 6 kettlebells in 1.
The weight range is 12 – 42 lbs in 6 lbs increments.
Weight variations are 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 42 lbs.
Just like the Dumbbell Connect, you adjust the weight from the base or the touch screen TV.
The kettlebell is made out of an outer shell with an opening at the bottom.
Weight plates inside the kettlebell stack on top of each other.
It uses a weight stacking system with a rotating weight selection core so you can adjust the weight with the push of a button.
Whatever weight is not selected stays on the base.
Very similar to the mechanism the Bowflex 840 adjustable kettlebell uses but JaxJox’s is all digital.
Foam Roller Connect
When you talk about artificial intelligence, this foam roller is crazy smart.
It has 5 levels of vibration intensity and lets you select the body parts you want to roll.
The top of the foam roller has a screen that displays the activity and intensities you can select.
Around the screen there are 4 buttons: Up, down, plus, and minus.
The bottom of the roller has a handle and sensors that connect with the base.
The sides has different patterns of bumps to make your muscles feel good.
I used this for the first time to foam roll my lats and wow did it hit some tender spots!
It’ll set an automatic time and vibration setting for an effective recovery.
It’s perfect for your recovery days when you want to relieve muscle soreness and improve mobility.
You can also set it to manual mode where you to set your own duration time and adjust the intensity level.
Heart Rate Connect
Heart Rate Connect tracks your heart rate and workout intensity while working out.
It comes with a strap, small monitoring device, and a USB charger that you can connect to the back of the TV.
You place it on the inside of your forearm.
To turn it on, just press the middle of the device for a couple seconds.
You know it’s on when you see a blue blinking light.
Push Up Connect
Push Up Connect is a push up platform with handles that can change to 4 different positions.
Each position is designed to target certain muscles with proper form, alignment, and wrist alignment.
It clips on to the left side of JaxJox Interactive Studio stand.
You can move the rotating push up handles between close and wide grips to better target your chest, arms, core, and shoulders.
Right in the center of the Push Up Connect station, you’ll see a screen.
JaxJox Interactive Studio tracks every rep and set.
The bottom of the push up station has 12 non-slip pads to keep the board in place while you use it.
Water Bottle Holder
Right in the middle of the JaxJox studio you have a bottle holder.
