Have you ever done a Kino workout?

If you haven’t, you’re probably doing the same thing everyone else does.

Working out too long and too many times a week without much needed rest.

Unlike your typical workouts, a Kino workout will not last hours, allows you to take plenty of days off to allow growth and recovery, and starts off with the heaviest weight first (after a few warm up sets).

This is called Reverse Pyramid Training and it is done on purpose because you have the most strength on the first set.

Reverse Pyramid Training

Lifting the heaviest when you’re at your strongest will allow you to get stronger and with stronger lifts comes more muscle.

Seems simple but most people don’t do that…

Conventional workouts fatigue you and by the time you get to the heaviest set your strength is at its lowest.

This makes making progress more difficult.

Kino Workout (Low Volume)

Kino workouts are low volume and the reason for this is to avoid neural and muscular fatigue.

You’re going to be lifting heavy and with high intensity so that you promote myofibrillar hypertrophy and massive strength.

When you workout with high intensity, too much volume can slow down progress.

You want to get a good workout in and even more important, get enough rest so that your next workout has the same amount of intensity to it.

Working out too often with high volume only leads to overtraining.

Remember, you grow outside the gym and if you’re constantly working out with not enough rest, you’ll always be breaking down muscle, not building it.

Intermittent Fasting

Along with the strength gains and PR’s you’ll hit with reverse pyramid training, you’ll need to add a good nutritional plan to burn fat.

Kinobody programs teach you all about intermittent fasting, tracking calories, and macros.

Nutrition is very important if you want to feed your body the right way and to get lean.

The better you understand how nutrition works, the leaner and more muscular you’ll get.

At first I thought this was difficult but Greg breaks this down inside his programs and makes it super easy to understand.

Stick to the Principles

Now you know how Kino workout programs work.

It’s all based on simplicity and making it easy for you to stick to programs without overdoing it at the gym and spending a whole day meal prepping.

Nobody has time for that…

Just stick to lifting heavy on the key lifts, take a day off in between lifting days, and implement intermittent fasting.

If I can get results with Kinobody at 40 years of age, I’m sure you can do it as well.
