The landmine T bar row platform box arrived kinda beat up but when I opened it up, it looked like the pieces survived.
It was all bubble wrapped and had a bag of hardware included.
Considering how the box arrived, I feel adding styrofoam inside would be a good idea.
Here’s what’s inside the box.
It’s only four pieces so it didn’t take me much time to get it all set up.
All I had to do was connect both footplates with a low crossmember in the back, high crossmember in the front, and the non-slip rubber feet.

What Is The Megastar T Bar Row Platform?
The Megastar T-bar row platform is a weightlifting platform that puts you in a position where you can get a full stretch at the bottom of a landmine row.
It has angled footplates so my body is in a leveraged position so that the weight doesn’t pull me off the platform.
They’re an alternative to non-chest supported T-bar row machines like the one you see above from Rogue.
They come with a built-in landmine attachment, bar, and handles so it’s all inclusive but…
The amount of space they take up is not ideal for most home gyms and that’s where the more compact platform comes in.
And here’s what that looks like…
Because this is done with a landmine attachment, it creates more stability and I feel it’s more safe for my lower back than doing barbell rows.
Top Benefits of The Megastar T Bar Row Platform
Range of Motion
With the T row platform being elevated, I don’t have to worry about plates touching the floor at the bottom of a row.
So I can use bumper plates or 45 lbs Olympic iron weight plates and load up the bar with as much weight as I can handle.
The plates go below my feet so I’m able to get a full stretch and get full range of motion.
Stable
With the base being 24″ wide, I feel it’s stable and don’t feel any wobble.
Plus it has four rubberized feet that grip the floor so it doesn’t slide.
Combine that with my weight and a loaded barbell and the platform isn’t going anywhere.

Elevated Front Crossmember
The front crossmember is elevated high enough so that I can slide weight plates in and out easily.
It gives me about 1/2″ of clearance at the bottom of the plates so it’s like having a built-in landmine jack.

Oversized Footplates
There’s plenty of foot space with the oversized footplates.
Each one is 19.69″ long by 5.91″ wide so regardless of your foot size, there’s plenty of room.
It’s diamond plated to decrease the chances of slipping.
Protective Plastic Strip
And right at the center of the front crossmember there’s a rectangular piece of UHMW plastic.
It’s bolted down to the metal so it doesn’t shift even when I put heavy weight on it.
It’s sole purpose is for protection.
It protects my landmine bar and protects the platform at the same time.
Megastar T Bar Row Platform Pros & Cons
Pros
- Build: Frame is made out of 12 gauge steel, footplates are 6 gauge steel
- Stability: It’s wide enough where it doesn’t wobble or tilt to one side and the non-slip rubber feet keep it from sliding
- Range of motion: I get a bigger range of motion at the bottom because of the platform’s height and incline
- Loading/Unloading: The platform’s front crossmember acts as a landmine jack so I can load and unload plates easily
- Protective plastic strip: Helps to prevent metal on metal contact so neither my barbells or the platform get damaged
Cons
- Not versatile: It has one main function and it does it very well but it’s not useful for much else.
Megastar T Bar Row Platform Price
The Megastar t-bar row platform is priced at $129.99 which is the lowest I found when surfing online.
And I was actually surprised I didn’t see many options.
I saw an identical one from Titan selling for $167 and one from Rogue selling for $465!
So this is actually the most economical one out there.

Rogue Indy T Bar Row Platform
The Rogue Indy T-Bar row platform is a tank (like most of Rogue’s products).
It is 83 lbs, with a base made out of 3×3, 11 gauge steel, and 7 gauge diamond plated plates.
To say it’s overbuilt is an understatement.
But with a heavy build comes a big price of $445.
Titan T Bar Row Platform
Titan’s T-Bar row platform is nearly identical to Megastar’s and sells for $167 ($37 more).
The dimensions may be slightly different but other than that, it looks like the same product with a different label.
Titan’s weighs a few pounds more at 37 lbs and is made of 12 gauge steel.
My Experience Using The Megastar T Bar Row Platform
To me, using the platform during landmine rows feels better than being flat on the floor.
I can use any sized weight plate since I don’t have to worry about them touching the floor and I get full range of motion.
Plus having the angled footplates shifts my weight back a bit so I feel balanced.
I personally like to use it using a close grip because I don’t feel like my lower back has enough support when I go with a wide grip.
So by using a UClips and handles, I’m able to keep my arms close and my spine protected.
Is The Megastar T Bar Row Platform Worth It?
If you do a lot of landmine rows, this platform is worth it.
It’s stable, has enough height to provide full range of motion, and makes loading/unloading the bar easy.
Plus it’s the lowest priced one in the market at the moment.
