The Major Fitness multifunctional handle bar is an all-in-one bar for pull workouts.

Unboxing
The bar came in a long box with parts separated by cardboard and covered in bubble wrap.
Here are all the parts once I took everything out of the box.
Assembly was easy and it comes with an instructions manual to simplify the process.
With this being a straight bar, first thing I want to test is whether or not the bar will hit my chest limiting my range of motion.
Here’s what the multifunctional handle bar looks like once I got the handles on.
One set of pop pins let me slide the handles from the side to side.
And the other set allows for 360 degrees of rotation (I can set it the handles to fixed angles or make them swivel freely).

Eliminates Multiple Cable Attachments
While the multifunctional bar doesn’t replace every cable attachment, it does eliminate the need for many of them.
Like me, you probably have a bunch of cable attachments lying around that take up a lot of room so having just one attachment is a big plus.
This keeps my home gym organized and keeps me from spending on multiple attachments.
Adjustable Angles & Widths
I like the adjustable handle width and grip angles the multifunctional bar gives me.
This eliminates the need for multiple attachments but also makes exercises joint friendly (my chronic elbow pain likes this).

Adjustable Handles
Each handle has 12 width settings so I can go narrow or wide grip.
On top of that, I can angle the handles in 12 different ways or set them to rotate freely.
Landmine Attachment
The barbell sleeves makes it convenient to use the multifunctional bar with a landmine set up.
Cable Machine Attachment
Right above and below the barbell sleeve there’s a couple of holes where I can clip on a carabiner for cable machine workouts.
Landmine Barbell Rows Set Up
Here’s my set up for landmine barbell rows.
I like to have a platform so I can have full range of motion at the bottom of the rows so I get on the Flex Wedge.
Then I just load up my barbell and throw on some bumpers.
Make sure the bar is set up with the center barbell sleeve facing away from you.
I set this up backwards initially and the handles kept bumping into my bumper plates.
The sleeve creates enough space between the plates and handles so I can turn the handles even at the closest width.
Each handle has 12 holes (12 angles) were I can lock them in place.
I like this rotation feature more than the fixed handles on a similar bar I previously reviewed, the Ironmaster Ultimate Row Handle.
The pop pin that allows rotation is right below the handle.
I can loosen up the pop pin so that it doesn’t go into the holes and I can rotate the handles freely.
I can also change the width of the handle from narrow to wide grip.
The multifunctional bar has 12 width settings.
To change widths, I pull the pop pin that’s right below the bar and the handle slides easily from side to side.
And here I am doing a landmine barbell row.
The elevation of the handles allows me to bring my elbows all the way back so I can get a full contraction even when using big plates.
This is one thing I wanted to test because with shorter handles, the plates usually hit my chest and that limits my range of motion.
Cable Machine Set Up
Setting the bar for cable machine workouts is straight forward.
I just clip a carabiner to one of the holes above or below the barbell sleeve and adjust the handles’ width and grip angle.
Here I’m doing a close grip seated cable row with the handles set up in a neutral grip.
And of course, I can use the bar at any height for exercises like lat pulldowns.
There’s a couple of exercises I tried that can’t be done with the handles.
With tricep pushdowns and bicep curls, the base of the handles hits the top of my forearms so this is one limitation.
The only way to do them is by moving the handles off to the sides and grabbing the bar directly.
Not the most optimal set up for those two exercises because of the shape of the bar but I can do them regardless.

Pros
- Adjustable handles: I like having the ability to adjust handle width and angles (eliminates the need for multiple attachments)
- Rotating handles: Free rotation set up makes exercises feel more natural and helps to reduce joint pain
- Landmine: Slide over a barbell sleeve for landmine barbell rows
- Cable machine: Easily clips to cable machines
- Elevated handles: Allow me to bring my elbows back without my chest touching the plates so I can get a full back contraction
Cons
- Holes: I’d like it if the bar and handles had numbered holes
- UHMW: Barbell sleeve doesn’t have plastic protection for my barbells so I’m using a bar that I don’t mind scratching
- Tricep pushdowns: Can’t use the handles for tricep pushdowns or bicep curls, hits the top of my forearms
Multifunctional Handle Bar Alternatives
The closest alternative to the multifunctional bar is the Ironmaster Ultimate Row Handle.
Ironmaster’s product also works with a barbell landmine set up, cable machines, and has adjustable widths…
The biggest difference between the two bars is that Major Fitness’ bar is straight and has rotating handles.
Ironmaster’s bar is V-shaped with neutral grip and slightly angled handles.
I’ve had Ironmaster’s bar for a long time but I prefer the adjustable and rotating handle options on Major Fitness’ bar.
The Back Jack
The Back Jack does what the Multifunctional Handle bar does and I can also use it as a barbell jack and triceps pushdown bar.
This one only has neutral grip handles though so there’s no way to adjust grip widths.

My Experience Using the Major Fitness Multifunctional Handle Bar
I really like what Major Fitness has done with this bar’s handles.
Having the option to use the handles at different angles, widths, and also have free rotation, makes this bar one of the best landmine and cable machine attachments available.
