What Is The Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope?
The Perantlb gym climbing rope is an indoor/outdoor climbing rope that can be used to increase your upper body strength just using your bodyweight.
It has a braided loop and carabiner at the end, making it easy to anchor to surfaces like trees, pull-up bars, ceiling hangers, and even weight sleds.
With a 1.5″ thick diameter and a 500 lbs weight capacity, it is built for durability.
Top Benefits Of The Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope
Improved Grip Strength
Since everything I do with a gym rope involves my hands hanging on for dear life, my grip strength will naturally improve.
I generally use my gym rope for climbing without using my legs so I’m hanging the entire time with minimal rest.
This is much different than using a grip trainer where my forearms and hands get a chance to rest after every rep.

But there are times when I use it like an ab roller where I lean forward while keeping my spine straight.
Insane core exercise but this is not something I do everyday.
Bigger Arms & Back
Aside from a stronger grip, the constant pulling of my bodyweight has also increased my back and arms strength.
The arm and back pump I get from rope climbs is insane considering I’m not using any weights.
And this is because my back and arms are under constant tension, otherwise I’ll end up on the floor.
Best Features Of The Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope
Material
The Perantlb gym climbing rope is made out of jute.
Jute is a strong natural fiber with a high tensile strength and resistant to tearing.
And just like other gym climbing ropes, it’s braided to add even more strength to it.
Even though this material is tough, it’s real soft so it doesn’t tear up my hands.
Anchor
The top of the climbing rope has a loop and a carabiner attached to it.
This gives me more options to hang the rope which is good since I can hang it from different anchors (indoors and outdoors).
I’ll show you a couple of ways I anchor it down in my garage gym…
First one is by throwing it around my weight rack’s pull up bar.
I just thread the end of the climbing rope through the loop and yank it down so that the loop is at the top.
You can see there’s heat shrink tubing at the bottom of the tubing to protect the rope.
For most home gyms with a power rack that has a pullup bar, this is gonna be the easiest set up.
The only issue with this set up is that you don’t get full use of the rope’s length.
So for rope climbs you’ll have to start seated on the floor and work your way up to the pullup bar.
Still one hell of an arm and back workout so don’t think the short distance is a piece of cake.
With the carabiner at the end of the loop I can also anchor it down to my gymnastic rings hanger.
I use a soft tie loop that connects to the hanger and the carabiner.
The strap has a weight capacity of 1000+ lbs and the hanger’s capacity is 500 lbs so it’s safe.
I’ve been using this ceiling hanger for quite some time and I’ve never had any issues with it.
It’s been solid when I do ring exercises and feels just as strong doing rope climbs.
With the carabiner option I can use more of the rope since I have 10 feet ceilings so rope climbs are more challenging with this set up.

Gym Climbing Rope Pros & Cons
Pros
- Durable: Made out of jute which is really tough and durable
- Weight capacity: Can hold up to 500 lbs, way more than my grip will be able to support
- Smooth: Feels smooth to climb without feeling like my hands are tearing up and it’s not slippery so I always get a good grip
- Anchoring: I like having the carabiner and loop option because I can anchor it to my ceiling, pull up bar, or I can hang it on a tree branch
- Arms/back: Insane arm pump and back strength built with rope climbs
Cons
- Frays: Like any rope, it’s gonna have some level of fraying. I’ve used mine indoors for years and there’s some light fraying but the rope still works fine.
- Ceiling height: Requires a high ceiling to use most of the length of the rope
Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope Price
The price on the gym rope is $35 which is not bad at all.
Other big name brands charge double that for the same length rope so this is a great price.
Perantlb Discount Code
I’ve looked around the internet but didn’t find any Perantlb discount code.
Even though this is a budget item, it wanted to see if I could get a few extra bucks off but no luck.
Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope Alternatives
Rogue Manila Climbing Rope
The Rogue manila gym climbing rope is 1.5″ in diameter and available in different lengths (15, 20, 25, and 30 feet).
It’s made out of manila which is a stronger rope than jute, but doesn’t come with a built-in carabiner.
I didn’t see a weight capacity listed on Rogue’s site but if jute has a max capacity of 500 lbs, then this has to be more.
The 15 feet rope sells for $77.50
Yes4All Gym Climbing Rope
Yes4All sells their 15 feet gym climbing rope for $37 so it’s right around the same price as Perantlb’s.
This rope is also made out of jute and has the same 500 lbs weight capacity.
It comes with a built-in metal loop at the top so it can be used with carabiners or anchored by threading one end of the rope through the metal loop.
My Experience With The Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope
I mainly use the rope when I want to blast my back and arms.
It’s a different burn than doing pullups and bicep curls since my muscles are under constant tension while I’m climbing.
My grip is also directly worked without having to do isolated grip exercises, so it’s a great all around pull day option.
These are more common in CrossFit boxes but I see them as a cheap way to stimulate my pulling muscles in a functional way.
Is The Perantlb Gym Climbing Rope Worth It?
If you have enough ceiling height and are looking for a back, arms, and grip challenge, a gym climbing rope is well worth it.
It requires a lot of grip strength and pulling power to get to the top of the rope but that’s not all…
You gotta fight on the way down as well so that you come down in a controlled manner.
Functional exercises that build gymnast like strength, all with a simple rope that can be hung from the ceiling or a pullup bar.
