When I learned UnbrokenShop came out with a faster speed rope, the Speed Rope Pro, I had to jump on it.
I had their previous speed rope but the Pro is supposed to be smoother and faster.
I’m not a huge fan of slow, steady state cardio sessions, but I love sprints and skipping rope.
Workouts that will get me breathing hard in a short amount of time.
Let’s dig in!
Unboxing
Table of Contents
The UnbrokenShop Speed Rope Pro comes in a small travel bag.
Inside the bag you have a pair of handles, 2 wire cables, and instructions manual.
Why two cables for one jump rope?
They send you an extra one so you’re actually getting two for one!
Handles
The handles are made of aluminum and feel lightweight.
The handle head is made of steel and has built-in bearings so that it spins fast.
The speed on the head is what makes doing double and triple unders much easier.
Right on the side of the top, there’s a screw that keeps the rope tightly inside the handle.
I’ll show you how it works soon, just keep reading.
The bottom of the handles have grooves that make it easy to grip.
I had no problem holding on to either handle even with sweaty palms.
Cables
The package comes with two cables so if one messes up over time, you have a replacement.
Each metal cable is 2.5 mm thick and coated in black PVC for extra protection.
You can also add an optional weight to your cable.
It’s a small piece of plastic (or PVC?) that adds weight to the middle of the Speed Rope Pro as you skip.
That also adds an extra layer of protection to prolong the life of the cable.
Speed Rope Pro Set Up
Jump ropes have come a long way since I remember them in middle school.
UnbrokenShop’s Speed Rope Pro has a built in Allen key at the bottom 🤯
You turn the bottom counter-clockwise and it’s hidden inside the handle.
You use the Allen key to loosen and tighten the cable after you insert it into the top of the handle.
Before inserting the cable into the handle you have to loosen the screw on the side of the head.
Insert the Allen key in the side hole and turn counter-clockwise.
The black screw starts coming out as you turn.
Once you get the screw loose enough, you can insert the cable through the top of the head.
Insert the cable through the head and once you get it to the length you want it’s time to lock it in place.
After you insert the cable, use the Allen to tighten it.
Turn the Allen key to the right until it feels snug.
The screw will start to disappear as it goes inside the hole.
Once you tighten the cable just screw the Allen key to the bottom of the handle.
Now just repeat the same process on the other handle and you’re ready to go.

Cons
- Spins fast – because of the bearings it takes time to get used to the fast spin
UnbrokenShop Speed Rope Pro Review
This a very fast jump rope.
If you’re struggling to get double unders, this rope will make it much easier.
Of course your still have to nail the rhythm down.
But the rope speed will be there.
They’re easy to adjust, light on the hands, and durable.
