Ativafit Air Bike Review

The Ativafit air bike is one of the best budget air bikes on the market.

And if you’ve never been on an air bike, you’re missing out on one hell of a cardio workout.

I’m talking a lungs burning and gasping for air type of workout.

I compare it to doing hill sprints or using the Inertia Wave.

It beats you up real bad, but in a good way.

Assembly

Setting up the air bike took about 30 minutes.

All the basic tools and hardware came in the box but I used a ratcheting socket wrench to speed up the process.

Minimal Footprint

One thing I liked right away about the Ativafit air bike, is that it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

It only uses up 39″ of floor space from front to back.

This is perfect because in a home or garage gym space is limited.

Comfortable Handles

The handles are cushioned and very comfortable on the hands.

They give you a good grip and don’t slip even when your hands sweat.

Digital Tracking Display

air bike display

The Ativafit has a simple digital LCD monitor to track your progress.

One button switches between different settings.

It shows the time, speed, distance, calories, and odometer.

Right above the display, you can set a tablet or cell phone while you ride.

Seat Cushion

The seat cushion is comfortable and the height of the chair can be adjusted up and down.

seat knob

You adjust the seat height by using the knob below.

You turn the knob counterclockwise to loosen it up, you pull it out to move the seat up or down, then turn right to tighten.

The seat can be adjusted from 27″ to 39″ in height.

Belt Driven Fan

belt driven

The air bike has a belt driven fan, so you won’t have to worry about a chain getting rusty or making a lot of noise.

The only noise you’ll hear is the fan blades against the air resistance.

Front Facing Fan Blades

curved fan blades

Unlike other air bikes, the fan blades on the Ativafit are curved forward.

This makes the air flow away from you when you pedal.

I’ve been on other bikes where the air flows towards you and it can dry out your eyes and throat.

This is even more of a factor during the winter when it’s cold.

Some companies even sell a guard in addition to the bike to block the air flow.

You don’t have to worry about that with the Ativafit.

Non-Slip Pedals

The pedals are non-slip and have adjustable straps.

Set it to fit your shoe tightly and you should have no problem slipping out even when you’re sprinting.

Front Rolling Wheels

front transportation wheels

At the front, you have two wheels that make it easy to move the bike around.

I store the bike away next to a wall and when I want to use, I just roll it to the center of my garage.

You simply tilt the front forward and the wheels make it effortless to move the bike around.

Adjustable Rear End Caps

The rear end caps have corners on them instead of being circular.

The reason for that, is so that you can turn them and make the bike more stable.

This comes in handy to prevent the bike from wobbling if you have uneven floors.

Air Bike Workouts

As far as the workouts go, you’re in complete control of the resistance.

The Ativafit air bike works on progressive resistance.

The faster you pedal, the more air resistance the fan blades pick up, and the harder the workout will be.

Whether you use this as a CrossFit bike, to warm up, or to do all out sprints, you dictate the intensity of your workouts.

Ativafit Air Bike vs Others

rogue echo air bike

Ativafit is a small company compared to big players in the market.

It’s not built as tough as the top dogs like the Rogue Echo, Assault Bike, AirDyne, or Xebex air bike.

And at a weight limit of 250 lbs, it does have its limitations.

However, the mechanism for all these bikes is the same.

The harder you push, the harder the workout gets.

This is why it doesn’t make sense to purchase a more expensive air bike.

Whether you spend $250 or $800, you are in control of the ass whooping, not the machine.

Is The Ativafit Air Bike Worth It?

If you’re just starting out and building a home gym on a budget, the Ativafit is a great piece of cardio equipment to have.

I consider myself to be in great shape and this thing kicks my ass every single time I use it.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for in a cardio machine.

Beat me up quick and give me results.

As one of the best budget air bikes in the market, I’d say the Ativafit is a must for any home gym owner.
