The DialTech Elite dumbbells are the heaviest dumbbells AtivaFit sells.
The weight range for the DialTech Elites is from 11 lbs to 71.5 lbs in 5.5 lbs increments.
Originally, AtivaFit had these dumbbells with the weight displayed in kilos but they have upgraded them to show pounds.
This way you don’t have to be guessing or converting the weight you’re lifting.
In this review, I’ll give you the scoop on AtivaFit’s heaviest dumbbells.
Unboxing
AtivaFit gives you the option to buy a single adjustable dumbbell or the pair.
Not sure why you would pick up one dumbbell, but I picked up the whole set.
The dumbbells came neatly packed in styrofoam with no damage.
Each adjustable dumbbell comes with its own hard plastic base.
The base keeps the weight plates upright when they’re not in use.
Ativafit DialTech Elite Dumbbells
Once out of the box, the DialTech Elites have a great look to them.
Black metal weight plates with a combination of black and chrome handles.
With the handle removed, the weight plates stand up perfectly straight on the base.
The base keeps the plates aligned so it’s easy to change weight.
You can change weights off the base, but whatever is not selected will just fall flat on the floor.
From the sides you can see that the weight plates are U-shaped.
The handle sits in the middle groove and picks up whatever is selected.
The smallest weight increment on the AtivaFit DialTech Elite adjustable dumbbells is 11 lbs.
When you select 11 lbs, you’re just selecting handle without any weight plates.
From the side, you can see the grooves on the handle where the weight plates fit.
One thing I like about Ativafit dumbbells is that they’re one of the few adjustable dumbbells that work with Mad Spotter hooks when I do heavy chest or shoulder presses.
Most other adjustable dumbbells I’ve used have a handle that’s too small in length so it’s nice to have the extra room.
Weight Range
The DialTech Elite dumbbells have a weight range of 11 lbs to 71.5 lbs.
They go up in 5.5 lbs increments.
One set of these dumbbells replaces a full rack of dumbbells with 12 weight settings in a shoebox sized space.
Ativafit also sells an adjustable dumbbell set that goes from 11 lbs to 66 lbs in 5 lbs increments.
The 66 lbs set replaces 12 pairs of dumbbells.
Specs
What’s great about the Ativafit DialTech Elite dumbbells is that they take up very little space.
These are the dimensions: 16.34″ L x 7.5″ W x 8.67″ H
Not bad at all for a set of dumbbells that replaces 12 pairs of dumbbells.
When you compare it to a rack of traditional dumbbells, not only are you taking up less space but the cost is much less.
DialTech Elite Dumbbells Mechanism
The DialTech Elites use a mechanism similar to the BowFlex SelectTech dumbbells where you turn a dial to select your weight.
There are some differences though.
The BowFlex dumbbells require you to turn both dials on each end to select the weight.
With the Ativafit Dialtech Elites you only have to turn one dial and it comes with a safety lock as well.
From the top you can see there’s a dial on each side of the dumbbells.
You can turn the dial in any direction to adjust the weight you want to lift.
But before you’re able to turn the dial, you have hold the safety lock down.
The safety lock is a red button next to one side of the weight plates.
How to Change Weights
Three steps is all it takes to change weights on the DialTech Elite dumbbells.
Press the Safety Lock
While the dumbbell is resting on the base, press and hold down the red safety lock.
This unlocks the handle.
Select the Desired Weight
While keeping the red button pressed, turn the dial to the desired weight.
Release the Safety Lock
Let go of the safety lock so it returns to its original position.
Make sure it’s popped up completely so that you know for sure the weight plates are secure.
Ativafit Dumbbell Alternatives
Snode AD80 Adjustable Dumbbells
Snode dumbbells are made out of cast iron and are one of the few adjustable dumbbells that are “drop-proof”.
These range from 10 lbs to 80 lbs in 10 lbs increments so the weight increments are not as small as Core Home’s but a good option nonetheless.
Trulap 8592 Adjustable Dumbbells
Trulap dumbbells come in two variations: (1) 8.5 to 52 lbs and (2) 8.5 to 92 lbs.
I have the Trulap 8592 version which replaces 26 pairs of dumbbells.
This is a solid option with volcano knurling.
Powerblock Pro 100 EXP Dumbbells
Powerblock Pro 100 EXP adjustable dumbbells are built like a tank.
These use a different adjustment mechanism where you insert a pin under a bar to lift everything above that bar (like a cable stack machine).
With weight increments from 5 – 100 lbs, you get a full rack of dumbbells at about the size of two shoe boxes.
Rep Fitness QuickDraw Adjustable Dumbbells
Rep QuickDraw adjustable dumbbells are indestructible and come with a lifetime warranty.
The QuickDraws range from 5 – 60 lbs and have weight increments of 2.5 lbs, 5 lbs, and 10 lbs.
Where to Buy Ativafit DialTech Elite Dumbbells
You have a couple options if you want to purchase these 71.5 lbs dumbbells.
First one is from the official Ativafit website.
The other option is through Amazon.
Both sites show a single dumbbell on their listing, so make sure you select two at checkout to order the pair.
Whichever place you choose to buy them from, they ship for free and come with a 1 year warranty.
Ativafit Discount Code
I have an exclusive coupon code which only works at the Ativafit website (will not work on Amazon).

Would I Recommend the DialTech Elite Dumbbells?
Overall I feel these are very good dumbbells for a home gym.
The fact that they take up little space, go up to 71.5 lbs, and replace 12 pairs of dumbbells will work for most people.
You can go light or go up to an above average weight with just one pair of dumbbells.
And the weight plates are metal so they will last a long time.

When I set the dial to 5 pounds the weight of the dumb bell is 10 pounds, when I set the dial to 12.5 pounds the dumb bell weighs 25 pounds. Is this how its supposed to work?
The number on the dumbbells must be in kilos. To convert it to pounds multiple it by 2.2046.
I have a single 71.5lb dumbbell from you Ativa Dialtech. I love it, but I can’t seem to find another 71.5lb. I can’t find a link directly to it, I only see the 66lb and the 88lb. Does anyone by chance have a link directly to the 71.5? I’m hoping to have 2 of the exact same.
I don’t think they make that weight range anymore
