Once you open the box, you’ll see each BetterBell individually boxed inside.
I received two 20 lbs BetterBells (1.0 version).

Construction
Straight out of the box I could tell the bells were built solid.
They’re all metal so these will last a long time.
Looking at it from the top down, it looks just like a regular kettlebell.
But when you turn it around, the sides are open and the inside is hollow.
Right in the middle of the inside you have another handle.
Another distinct thing about this bell, is that two sides are round and the other two sides are flat.
Below you can see the bell laying on its flat side.
The only piece of plastic on the bells, is the cap that shows you the weight amount.
Other than that cap, the BetterBell is very well built.
Handles
You have two handles: The kettlebell (outside) handle and the dumbbell (inside) handle.
The outside handle has a glossy finish just like the rest of the bell.
It is not slippery and feels just like a regular kettlebell when you use it as such.
The inside handle has an aggressive knurling which gives you a secure grip.
Use this handle for dumbbell exercises and push up handles.
Kettlebell, Dumbbell, and More
Not only can you use the BetterBell as a kettlebell and dumbbell, but you can also use it as push up bars and parallettes.
By turning the bell on its flat sides, you turn them into push up bars.
Because of their height and stable base, you can also use the bells as parallettes.
BetterBell 2.0
The second version of the BetterBell will have several improvements.
Powder Coating
The whole bell will be powder coated.
This will give it a more durable finish that will be make the bells resistant to corrosion, chipping, and scratching.
Debossing
Instead of having a plastic cap showing the weight, it will be debossed into the metal.
The sides of the bell will also have the company name and logo.
