The Beyond Power Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount makes it easy to connect my Voltra to any cylindrical surface.
I was able to do that previously with the bar mount but that’s more of a permanent attachment since it’s screwed on.
With the Adaptive mount being like a clamp, I can move it around easily and hook up my Voltra to multiple places.
Let’s check it out!

The adaptive bar mount came neatly packaged and well protected.
It’s surrounded by thick foam from all angles so it arrived without a scratch.

And here it is out of the box.
It has a big knob on top and a couple smaller ones on the sides.
There’s also a metal half circle that swings out to the side so this is much different than the original bar mount.

What Is The Beyond Power Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount?

The adaptive bar mount is a mounting accessory for the Beyond Power Voltra that anchors to any cylindrical surface.
I can anchor it down to any bar ranging from 0.6″ to 2″ in diameter (16mm – 51mm).
My PRx rack pull up bar is 1.25″ wide and the adaptive bar mount fits perfectly.

Beyond Power also added a metal loop that swings down to anchor suspension straps or resistance bands.
I like that they added that this option cause calisthenics I throw calisthenics into my workouts.
How Does The Adaptive Bar Mount Work?

I added arrow to the pic above to make it easier for you to understand all the moving parts…
- Yellow arrow: This is the tightening knob that secures the mount to any bar after it’s clamped down. Turning it left loosens the grip on the bar.
- Green arrows: These are quick release knobs that make it easy to unlock the big knob and unlock the release tab (red arrow)
- Red arrow: This is the release tab that unlocks the clamping mechanism. I can pull this down after turning the quick release knobs.

Here I flipped the release tab down so I can open up the mount.

And here’s what that looks like…
Both top and bottom of the inside are lined with thick nylon plastic so there’s no damage to my equipment.
Top Benefits Of The Adaptive Bar Mount
Quick Mount / Dismount

I have both the original bar mount and the adaptive bar mount so I’m able to compare them side by side.
Both anchor the Voltra down securely but the original bar mount is more of a semi-permanent option.

That’s because it has a top of bottom piece that anchor down to a pull up bar by screwing 4 bolts.
So taking this off and re-attaching it is not as easy as using the adaptive bar mount.

With the adaptive bar mount all I have to do is open it, clamp it down, then tighten it.
So it takes me seconds to attach/remove from the bar.
The original bar mount takes way longer since I have to screw/unscrew all four corners.
Secure

I’ve been using two Voltra units for about a year and a half now and their locks are very secure.
Not once has the Voltra came off any of their mounts once it’s locked in place.
The adaptive bar mount is the same: the Voltra stays on the mount and the mount stays on the pull up bar.
Versatility

I mainly use the adaptive bar mount on my pull up bar for high to low exercises but I’ve seen people online get creative with them.

One of my favorite set ups recreates a Torque Relentless Ripper (kinda like a floating SkiErg).
I bring both bar mounts close to each and attach UClips Smile Handles.

Then set the resistance to damper and get a killer cardio workout.
The mount spins around the pull up bar but that doesn’t affect the way the exercise feels.
Another setup where I can see this being useful is with stall bars to unlock new angles since the Voltra can be anchored at any height.

Some people use the adaptive bar mount on the weight horn pendulum squat machines and the weight horns of leg press machines.

People in home gyms get super creative so as long as there are cylindrical shapes around, they’ll figure something out.
Above you can see the adaptive bar mount on a 1″ band peg and it’s connected to the weight horn of a leg extension machine with an ankle cuff.
Best Features Of the Beyond Power Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount
Leverage Bar

The leverage bar that’s recessed into the big knob makes it easy to give it that extra push when I can’t turn the knob any further.
Quick Release Knobs

The quick release knobs unlock the big knob slightly so I can start turning it counter-clockwise when it’s on very tightly.
These knobs also unlock the tab so I can unclamp the mount.
Inner Lining

Nylon plastic lining the top and bottom of the inside help to prevent metal on metal contact.
So it protects both the mount and bar.
Suspension Trainer Mount

The suspension trainer mount flip down may not be for everyone but having the option doesn’t hurt.
I flip it down, insert a carabiner through the center, and have a place to anchor my suspension trainer or resistance bands.

Once clipped on to the bar mount, I can do calisthenics.

And again, the mount is secure and strong enough that I can hang from it without any problems.
This small add-on feature gives this mount more versatility even when the Voltra is not involved.
Exercises Using The Adaptive Bar Mount
In the video above, you can see how quick and easy I clamp the adaptive bar mount to my pull up bar.
From there I can either attach the Voltra to it or use it with my suspension trainer.
I like to use it for lat pulldowns, tricep extensions, rear delt flys, inverted rows, push ups, and even like a Ski Erg for cardio.
You can get as creative as you want with it…
Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount Pros & Cons

Pros
- Quick installation: Installs in seconds without any tools
- Secure: I can set the Voltra at the highest resistance and even hang from it and the mount stays clamped down
- Inner protection: Nylon plastic protects my equipment and the mount from scratches and metal on metal contact
- Versatility: Gives me the ability to anchor the Voltra to multiple cylindrical surfaces so I can use it for more exercises
- Suspension trainer: Flip down hole lets me hook up a suspension trainer
Cons
- Shape specific: Not as versatile as the strap mount since this is made for cylindrical shapes only
Beyond Power Adaptive Bar Mount Price

The price for the adaptive bar mount is $209 so it’s not their cheapest mount but it’s also not their most expensive.
As with all Voltra products, they always use quality materials and it’s no different with the adaptive bar mount.
Beyond Power has never offered discount codes so this is the price you’ll find everywhere.
Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount Alternatives
Beyond Power Bar Mount

The only other bar mounted alternative for the Voltra is the original bar mount.
This one is more of a semi-fixed option since it’s screwed in place and does not have the option to anchor a suspension trainer.
My Experience Using The Beyond Power Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount

I have 6 out of the 8 mounts that Beyond Power sells and a big fan of the adaptive bar mount.
This one gives me that true vertical line of drive that I was missing for exercises like lat pulldowns, tricep extensions, and a SkiErg-like movement.
Much easier and faster to install and take off than the original bar mount so this is a big improvement.
Should You Buy The Beyond Power Voltra Adaptive Bar Mount?

If you have a pull up bar and have a Voltra, the adaptive bar mount is a solid addition (if you don’t already own a lat tower).
It opens up exercises that can only be done if you had a dedicated cable machine.
It’s secure, easy to install/detach, and even has room to throw on your suspension trainer.

Price and delivety to Poland. Is it possible?
Price is $2200 per unit and they deliver worldwide. You’d have to enter your address and country at checkout to see how much they charge for delivery.
Is it possible to use the strap mount on pullup bars?
No, the strap mount won’t work on a pullup bar. The base is too wide for a thin pullup bar.
