Beyond Power Voltra Strap Mount Review

The Beyond Power Voltra strap mount makes it possible to use the Voltra cable machine anywhere.

No longer is the Voltra 1 confined to just a weight rack.

With the strap mount, I can strap the Voltra to a post, tree, other machines, and anything I can imagine.

Let’s check it out.

What Is The Beyond Power Voltra Strap Mount?

The Voltra strap mount is an anchor that uses straps to mount the Voltra to anything you can think of.

I’ve used it on my rack, wooden posts, and circular metal posts, and always feels safe with its dual locking system.

Because this mount uses straps, it can conform to the shape of the post go on tightly.

One side of the mount has a seat belt buckle and it’s as easy as inserting one end of the strap until it clicks.

To release the belt, I lift up the opposite end of the buckle.

The opposite end has a cam buckle.

First, I clip the strap to the seat belt buckle then wrap it around the post and insert it through the cam buckle.

On the cam buckle side, I pull the strap until I can’t no more.

Later on I’ll show you how the handle works like a lever belt buckle, which gives the mount extra tightness that I can’t get by pulling the strap.

The backside has a magnetic block (black square) and that makes it easier for me to mount on my rack and other metal posts.

This way I can strap the mount hands free.

Versatility

Since the strap mount is not specific to any rack or post, I can strap it down to anything and use my Voltra anywhere.

This is good because of the immense amount of weight racks available so this makes it universal.

And if I wanna take the Voltra outside of my garage gym, I can strap it down to anything.

Magnetic Backside

Here’s what the mount looks like when I use the magnet on the backside without the straps.

This makes it much easier to hook it up to any metal post so I can free up my hands before I insert the strap in the buckles.

Dual Lock

First locking mechanism is the seat belt buckle.

This makes it impossible for the strap to come off unless I manually lift the opposite side of the buckle.

In the previous picture, I have the handle open so I’m showing you what that looks like from the front.

This works like the buckle on a lever belt so when I close the handle, it gives the strap an extra tug to get it super tight.

Here’s what the mount looks like when it’s shut.

If I want to release the handle, I squeeze it and open it.

Straps

The straps are just like seat belts.

Super high quality with a metal piece of metal on one end.

I mainly use the short strap for my weight rack but if I take it outside, I take the long strap in case I need to wrap it around a thick tree trunk.

Here’s a closer look at both the straps and metal end pieces.

I don’t see this ripping even if I maxed out the Voltra.

Voltra Strap Mount Pros & Cons

Pros

• Mounts to anything: I can mount this any post or tree regardless of the shape

• Magnetic: The magnetic backside makes it easier to mount to metal posts

• Straps: Straps come in two lengths to go around any anchor and made out of seatbelt like material that feels very durable

• Dual lock: Seatbelt buckle and lever handle secures the mount safely to any surface

Cons

• Pricey: It’s not of the cheapest Voltra mount available but like all Voltra products I’ve tried, it is high quality

Beyond Power Voltra Strap Mount Price

The Voltra strap mount is priced at $249 (as much as their sliding rack mount) so it’s not their most economical mount.

But on top of being high quality, this one is the most versatile than all their mounts.

Beyond Power doesn’t offer any discount codes at the moment.

Voltra Strap Mount Alternatives

Adaptive Rack Mount

The Adaptive Rack Mount fits any upright regardless of upright width, hole size, and hole spacing.

It’s real easy to lock and unlock with a quick release lock in the back.

Adaptive Bar Mount

The Adaptive Bar Mount is an upgrade to the original bar mount and it’s so much easier to mount.

With this set up I can do exercises like lat pulldowns, tricep extensions, weight crunches, etc.

Beyond Power even added a suspension trainer anchor that flips down from the side to add more functionality to it.

Las time I spoke with Beyond Power, this mount will be available mid-June.

Darko QuickMount Bracket

The Darko QuickMount bracket has a keyhole on the sides and works with both 5/8″ and 1″ magpins.

Insides are lined with 3D plastic to protect your weight rack and can be easily moved up and down with the pin (pins not included).

My Experience Using The Voltra Strap Mount

I’ve used the strap mount on several posts…

On my PRx rack, round metal post, a thick tree, and wooden square posts.

It’s easy to put on and stays on there tightly without sliding up and down, so it does what it’s supposed to do.

Having two strap lengths gives me ability to use the strap around anything and opens up more options if I want to train outside my garage gym.

Is the Voltra Strap Mount Worth It?

If you just plan to train in your gym, then another one of Beyond Power’s rack mounts may be your best option.

But if you find yourself training in different places (indoor and outdoor), the strap mount gives you more versatility so you can mount it anywhere.

I can see this being a good option for people who use their Voltra for group training, where they meet at different places and use different sized posts.

It’s strong, very secure, and having two straps makes it possible to wrap around just about anything.
