The Flybird Pro adjustable bench is Flybird’s heavy duty bench.
Flybird is known for selling folding adjustable benches with a slim frame design.
This one is thicker than their other weight benches and has a higher weight capacity.
Let’s dig in!
Unboxing
The contents of the box came perfectly packaged.
Everything was protected by styrofoam and covered in plastic.
Then taped in placed to the box so it wouldn’t move around.
Once out of the box there are not many pieces to put together.
There’s the seat, back support, two legs, and the frame.
It comes with all the hardware, an Allen key, and a wrench.
Assembly
And here’s the finished product.
With the tools provided, it took me around 20 minutes to put the bench together.

Adjustable Bench
The Flybird Pro bench backrest can be adjusted to 6 positions and the seat adjusts to 3 positions.
There’s a red support arm that can be moved up and down six different notches to change the angle of the backrest.
The support arm has a handle to prevent pinching your hands while you adjust the bench.
The pic above shows you what the support arm looks like from the back of the bench.
The seat also has a support arm similar to the back rest that lets you adjust the seat to 3 positions.
The seat goes from a flat position to two incline angles.
Flybird doesn’t advertise the bench as having a decline option but I tried it anyway.
I removed the support arm and you can see there’s a slight decline angle.
Not enough to call it a true decline.
With 9 total adjustment levels, the Flybird Pro bench covers everything you need except the decline part.

Stability
The bench feels very stable and doesn’t wobble.
The back legs have a red colored rubber on the bottom to keep them from slipping.
The front legs have rubberized feet that can be leveled in case you have uneven floors.
On the side of each front leg there’s a red dial that can lift or lower the leg.
If your floors are level, you can leave the leg completely flat.
If your floor is uneven, you can turn the dial and you’ll see a piece of rubber come down from the leg.
Here you can see how that rubber piece can lift the leg to balance it out.
You can do the same on the other side of the front leg.
Once you have the bench set on a level surface, it feels very stable with no wobble.
Padding
The padding is 2.5″ thick which makes it very comfortable.
The padding feels just as comfortable as my PRx performance wall mounted bench which is 3 times as expensive as this one so I’m impressed.
I put a 70 lbs PowerBlock dumbbell on top of the backrest to see how much it would sink and it held up well.
The stitching is very clean and the upholstery is tightly on there.
At its widest points the padding is 12 inches wide.
At the top of the backrest it tapers down to 9.5 inches.
Mobility
This bench doesn’t have wheels but moving it around is not difficult.
With the Flybird Pro bench weighing just 56 lbs, it’s easy to pick up and move anywhere.
Welds
Both welds on the front and back leg of the bench are decent.
