I’ve used the Get Rxd Builder Shackle more than I thought I would.
This handy piece of equipment makes my life much easier.
I can attach it to crossmembers, lever arms, and uprights to hang other equipment during and after my workouts.
Let’s check it out!
Unboxing
The Get Rxd shackle came in a small box with three pieces.
Shackle comes bubble wrapped, carabiner comes in a plastic bag, and bolt came naked.
Here’s all three out of the wrapping material.
The shackle feels tough and it’s simply a piece of metal that serves as an anchor point.
Here’s the 5/8″ bolt that comes with two washers and a nut.
The bolt is long enough to go through 3″ x 3″ equipment.
And they also include a carabiner to attach accessories to the GetRxd shackle.
This is what it looks like with all three pieces together.
The bottom part sits on a crossmember, upright, or lever arm and I can attach anything to the carabiner.
Specs
- Material: Steel
- Hardware: 5/8″ bolt and carabiner included

Builder Shackle Set Up
Setting up the builder shackle is straight forward.
Line up the holes on the shackle to the holes on the metal piece and insert the bolt through.
Tighten the nut to your desire.
Compatibility
Crossmembers
The GetRxd builder shackle is compatible with any 3″ x 3″ crossmember with 5/8″ holes.
I have a PRx performance rack and it doesn’t have any crossmembers but still fits the uprights if I want to hang anything off the sides.
Lever Arms
The main reason I got the builder shackle is to use it with my Infinity Arm lever arm.
Mainly to attach my dip belt to the lever arm for belt squats.
And here it is at the end of the lever arm.
I clip my dip belt chain to the carabiner.
The shackle freely rotates around the bolt so it doesn’t restrict motion through the exercise.
And I can bust out belt squats.
I use it for calf raises too.
What I Hang From The Get Rxd Shackle
I hang my home gym cable machine using the GetRxd shackle as the anchor point.
From there I can do a ton of different exercises like lat pulldowns with my D handle bar or tricep pushdowns with ropes.
Currently I only own one shackle but if I had two of them and an extra lever arm, I could easily recreate a cable crossover machine.
I do have a climbing rope hanging from the ceiling.
But if you don’t have the option to do that, a shackle is a great option that’s easier than drilling a hole on your ceiling.
My rope comes with an attached D-ring that makes it easy to connect to a carabiner.
I’m a big fan of calisthenics so I always have a suspension trainer handy.
Normally I would hook this up to my ceiling or throw it over a pull up bar…
But if you don’t have either of those options, you can use a builder shackle for it.
I currently own a stand up punching bag that doesn’t need to be hung.
But if you have a heavy bag, aqua bag, or tear drop bag, you can easily hang it from a shackle.
And you won’t need to worry about whether your ceiling will be able to support its weight.
And finally, I can use the Get Rxd builder shackle to store anything that can be hung.
Resistance bands, triceps rope, weight belt, dip belt, or any other accessories I want to get off the floor.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Set up: Takes 30 seconds to set up
- Versatile: Can be used with many pieces of equipment
- Inexpensive: At $18, the GetRxd shackle is one of the cheapest I found
- Build: All metal
Cons
Nothing to complain about the product.
Only thing I didn’t like is that shipping costs the same as the product but that’s how it is everywhere lately.
Get Rxd Discount Code?
I’ve looked around everywhere online and haven’t been able to find a Get Rxd discount code.
Looks like they don’t issue any coupons but I will contact them to see if they provide any.
If they do, I will update this section.
Where To Buy
I bought the GetRxd builder shackle straight from the Get Rx’d website.
At $18 it was the cheapest builder shackle I found from all the major brands.
You do have to pay for shipping which almost costs as much as the product itself.

Get Rx’d Shackle Review
I only really needed the shackle for lever arm belt squats…
But there’s so many other products I can hang from that make it very useful and handy to have in the garage gym.
From resistance bands to suspension straps, pulleys, punching bags, climbing ropes, and anything else you can think.
If it can be hung, I have the shackle there to hold it up securely.
