The Jukestir coordination punching bag is something I’ve never seen or tried til now.
For starters, it looks way different than your traditional punching bags.
It’s made up of three pieces of foam connected by a string.
When I punch the Jukestir it moves in unpredictable ways, much like a real life opponent would.
Fun and challenging workout (mentally and physically) to say the least.
Let’s check it out!

I opened the box and here’s the first thing I saw.
Three cylindrical foam pieces and a yellow cord wrapped in plastic.
Once I pulled out all the contents out of the box there was another plastic bag with more stuff in it.
Time to unwrap the new toys.
Out of the bag here’s what the Jukestir punching bag looks like.
I have the black one but their website also has a red option available.
I laid out all the pieces of the punching bag so you can get a better look at it.
The three pieces of foam are interconnected.
On one end there’s a short loop, the other end has a longer loop.
Here’s what came inside the smaller plastic bag.
A short tether, a long tether, an eye bolt, and two quick links.

Set Up
With my ceiling being real high, I chose to hang it from my PRx Performance rack pull up bar instead.
The eye bolt is included to hang the punching bag from the ceiling (I’m not using it).
Two quick links connect the bottom and top loop of the punching bag to a tether.
These are the two tethers.
I’m using the short one at the top of the Jukestir.
And the long one at the bottom to connect it to a small weight plate.
I insert the short tether through the short loop.
Then thread it through itself.
To end up with this.
Then I do the same at the bottom.
Thread the long tether through the big loop.
Thread it through itself.
And end up like this.
Now it’s time to connect both ends.
To tie it up to my pull up bar I’m using a soft loop tie down strap.
I threaded the strap through itself then added the quick link to connect the tether to it.
And the Jukestir is now hanging.
I could leave it like this if I wanted to.
But I’m going to anchor down the bottom also.
Here’s the bottom anchored down.
I added the second quick link to the tether, inserted it through the middle of the weight plate, and clipped it to itself.
And here’s what the bottom of the bag looks when it’s anchored down.
Now it’s ready for action!
Benefits of Using Jukestir
Jukestir is not only a punching bag but also a brain cognitive training device.
It’s designed to improve mental and physical performance.
The Jukestir is weighted in a way that makes it move unpredictably when I punch or kick it.
Those random movements force my brain to strengthening mental processes and skills such as focus, decision making, reaction time, peripheral vision, and hand-eye coordination.
These are all important mental skills that athletes make in split seconds.
And it’s a lot of fun and one hell of a workout.
Jukestir vs Other Punching Bags
The Jukestir website put together a comparison diagram between the their bag and other punching bags.
I’ve never tried a speed bag or double-end bag so I can’t compare those two.
And it’s definitely not like a heavy bag.
I do own a Cobra Reflex Bag that springs back and forces me to play defense so it’s like fighting an opponent.
But I can definitely predict where the reflex bag is coming based on where I punch it.
I can’t predict how the Jukestir moves so it really forces me to use my brain more.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Focus: Unpredictable movement forces your brain to work harder and adapt
- Reaction time: Improves reaction time
- Hand-eye coordination: Improves hand to eye coordination
- Speed: My hand speed has improved because I’m forced to react sooner than expected
- Portable: Unlike a reflex bag, double end bag, or speed bag, this stores easy and I can take it anywhere
- Unpredictable: Random movements mimic a real life opponent
- Great for athletes: Athletes can use this to improve on all the points listed above
Cons
- Cost: Just like most quality boxing / MMA bags, the Jukestir is not cheap (see below for a discount)

Jukestir Coordination Punching Bag Review
I can see the Jukestir benefiting boxers and MMA athletes.
For home gym owners that are into these type of workouts, it’s a great tool to sharpen your brain and give you a great workout.
The random, dynamic movements the bag creates mimic the unpredictability of an opponent.
So it trains your brain to focus, improves reaction time, speed, and hand-eye coordination.
It’s a super fun workout that will leave you gassed.
