What Is The King Kong Core Backpack?
The King Kong backpack is a tactical gym bag made of heavy duty materials.
Every pocket, compartment, zipper, and buckle has been tested for durability and efficiency.
What’s impressive about this backpack, is how much I can fit inside and outside of it.

Top Benefits Of The King Kong Core Backpack
Storage Capacity
The amount of zippers and storage compartments in the Core backpack is insane.
It has zippers from top to bottom.
I store my personal items in this pocket below the top handle (keys, wallet, cellphone, etc).
When I open the top compartment, there’s lots of space in here.
And it has a laptop pocket that’s lined with padding from front to back.
This is where I insert bigger items like clothing.
I could insert a weightlifting belt here too but King Kong figured out a clever way to store it outside the backpack so that it doesn’t eat up inside space.
There’s bottle holder pockets on each side.
I like that they have an elastic strap so they accommodate to different sized bottles.
And the bottom front pocket has more storage options for smaller items.
I throw my speed rope and liquid chalk in here.
There’s another storage compartment on the underside of the backpack but I’ll show you that one later…
Durable
King Kong backpacks are built with high quality materials and that’s why they have a lifetime warranty.
Otherwise, the company would be losing money every time someone returned a backpack.
They’re built with 500D nylon body, YKK zippers, ripstop nylon lining, and nylon webbing.
Best Features Of The King Kong Core Backpack
Weight Belt Storage
The outside weight belt storage feature is genius.
I like this for a couple reasons: (1) it doesn’t eat up my internal storage and (2) it keeps my sweaty belt away from my clean clothes.
It’s designed the same way as the belt loops on pants.
The weight belt goes under the daisy chains in the front…
And then slides behind the padding in the back side.
Very smart design that allows me to carry one of my biggest wearable gym accessories.
Daisy Chains
The daisy chain columns are something I take advantage of and hang as many accessories as I need.
I own a lot of cable machine attachments and those come with carabiners so I have plenty of those to clip on here.
But I can also use anything with straps and wrap them around the daisy chains.
Instead of taking up space inside a compartment, I hang my Angles90 grips from the daisy chains.
I do the same with my weightlifting straps.
Insert the loose end through the back of the daisy chain and insert it through the other end with the loop.

Shoe Compartment
The shoe compartment is hidden below the backpack.
Even though it takes up space from the inside of the bag, it keeps shoes from anything inside the big top compartment.
It has its own nylon pocket that prevents dirt and smell from the shoes from getting to the clean stuff.
Another smart design to include as much as possible inside the backpack.
Straps & Padding
The shoulder straps are adjustable and have comfortable padding.
I like the chest strap because it stabilizes the backpack so it stays close to my body and sometimes even use it for rucking.

The back side has a waist strap at the bottom of the shoulder straps and that adds more stability.
There’s padding everywhere on the straps.
From where the straps attach to the backpack, all the way to end.
And there’s padding that sits right at my lower back and hip area.
So yes, this backpack is very comfortable.

King Kong Core Backpack Price
The King Kong Core 25L backpack sells for $169.95.
Yes, it’s not cheap but neither is the product so you’re getting what you’re paying for.
King Kong also has a bigger 33L backpack that sells for $20 more than the 25L.
I haven’t seen any discount codes anywhere so this is the lowest price I’ve found for now.

UnbrokenShop
The Unbrokenshop training backpack has a ton of space (my daughter was able to fit in here when she was younger).
This one has an all around zipper that gives me complete access to the entire inside of the bag, kinda like a luggage bag does.
It has lots of storage compartments as well and instead of daisy chains this one has a MOLLE system that works in a similar way.
King Kong Duffel Bag
If you’re more into gym duffel bags, the 35L King Kong duffel bag still gives you plenty of storage.
Even though it has a different shape than the backpack, I can still store shoes, clothing, accessories, a weightlifting belt, and more.
My Experience Using The King Kong Backpack
I can store a lot more than I need in this backpack.
Anywhere I turn it, there’s either a pocket, a compartment, or a place to hang something from.
It keeps my things organized and separates clean from dirty.
Is The King Kong Core Backpack Worth It?
If you go to a commercial gym and carry a lot of stuff with you, this backpack will make your life easier.
I also see this being useful for CrossFit athletes who carry their items around in competitions.
It has plenty of space for anything you can think of (personal items and gym stuff) and it’s tough enough to take on heavy loads.
