The Tib Bar Guy Nordic weight bench is a unique piece of equipment.
It’s a combination of a Nordic curl bench and an adjustable weight bench.
I don’t remember ever seeing a combo like this and after researching, it looks like this is the first bench of its kind.
Let’s check it out!
Unboxing
Table of Contents
Everything in the box comes wrapped in plastic and well protected.
I was surprised to see there was only 4 pieces to attach to the Nordic weight bench.
The bench comes folded and fully built.
Only thing to assemble is the Nordic curl part that goes at the end of the seat.
The back support pad is about 2″ in thickness and feels comfortable.
The seat pad is wider than the back pad.
It’s built this way so there’s plenty of room for both knees when doing Nordic curls.
Right where the bench folds in half there’s a detent pin that locks it in place.
To unfold the bench, I had to remove the pin.
Here’s the Nordic weight bench after I unfolded it.
I then re-inserted the pin in the middle slot to lock the bench in place.
The Nordic weight bench is fully adjustable.
Each leg has different holes to change the angle of incline of the pads.
To change the angles, you unscrew and pull the black knobs.
Here’s a view of the adjusting knobs on each leg.

Assembly
There’s only 4 pieces to add to the Nordic bench and these all attach with knobs.
Having no screws or wrenches to use made assembly very fast.
This took at most 10 minutes to put together and I’ll show you what I did below.
This is the first piece to attach to the bench.
It’s the foundation for the Nordic curl piece and attaches to the leg below the bench seat.
This is what it looks like once it’s attached to the leg.
Next, I inserted this metal “L” into the foundation.
The short end of the “L” goes into the foundation so it looks like this.
This piece of metal allows the feet rollers to adjust horizontally.
The straight metal piece is next.
It slides with the knob down into the “L” piece like you see above.
This piece lets me adjust the feet rollers vertically.
The last piece to go on are the rollers.
Slide this into the vertical metal piece and it’s all set.
Here’s what the final set up looks like.
Now the bench is ready to hold my feet down for Nordic curls.
Nordic Curl Progressions
The coolest part of this Nordic bench is having the ability to slowly build up to a full Nordic curl.
I started with the back pad almost completely vertical.
As my hamstrings got stronger, I started to move the back pad further back.
The regressions are similar to what the Freak Athlete Nordic Hyper GHD does but this can also be used as a regular weight bench.
Until I was able to do Nordic curls at full range of motion.
The adjustable back pad let me progress safely without putting too much strain on my hamstrings.
I can also use this with a Nordic curl progression strap for more assistance.
Nordic Weight Bench Leg Extensions
With the adjustable leg rollers I’m also able to do leg extensions.
I raise the rollers high enough so that my leg hangs without touching the floor.
Then strap on my MonkeyFeet to a dumbbell set and hit the quads.
This lets me hit both sides of the leg without having to buy a separate leg extension / leg curl machine.
Traditional Weight Bench
This bench cause also be used like any adjustable weight bench.
All you have to do is remove the Nordic curl piece.
Here’s what it looks like from the side with the Nordic curl attachment removed.
So I’m able to use the bench for both upper and lower body exercises.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Versatile: 2 benches in one, can be used for upper and lower body exercises

Nordic Weight Bench Review
If you like the challenge of Nordic curls and need an adjustable weight bench at the same time, this is a good one.
It’s fully adjustable for upper and lower body exercises so you can do a lot with it.
The Nordic curl attachment and incline bench are a great combo so you can progress slowly into a full Nordic curl.
And for the price, it costs way less than buying a Nordic curl bench and weight bench separately.

Hi , great Nordic curl bench. Exactly what I was looking for.
I have one question ; why is is so expensive to ship the bench to Canada ? $60 USA =$81 cdn
International shipping is always expensive even if it’s from the U.S. to Canada.
