The TrakFitness TrakBar 30 is one of those cable attachments that looks simple but actually makes a big difference in your workouts.
If you already own a pair of the TrakHandle Pro-X, you can connect them to the TrakBar 30 and it becomes an adjustable cable machine pulling bar.
What makes this bar better than most cable attachments, is the multiple hole positions on each side that let me change grip widths without the need for multiple bars.
In this review, I’ll break down how it performs in real world use, who the TrakBar 30 is best for (and who should skip it), its biggest benefits, and whether it’s worth adding to your cable machine setup.
Let’s check it out!

The TrakBar 30 came well protected, wrapped in plastic, and surrounded by foam.
Here’s the bar out of the box. Love the stainless steel look and it feels solid.
Just so you’re aware, you’ll need the TrakHandle Pro-X handles to use this bar which are sold separately.
Specs
- Material: Stainless steel
- Length: 31″
- Adjustments: 5 width settings (6″, 12″, 18″, 24″, and 30″)
- Compatibility: Made for the TrakFitness TrakHandle Pro-X
What Is The TrakBar 30?
The TrakBar 30 is a stainless steel cable attachment made specifically for the TrakHandle Pro-X rotating handles.
It has 5 attachment holes on each side so I can clip the Pro-X handles at 5 different widths, making it a modular lat pulldown bar.
Exercises I like to use it for:
- Lat pulldowns
- Seated cable rows
- Straight arm pulldowns
- Tricep extensions
- Face pulls
- Bicep curls
Because the TrakBar 30 works with the TrakHandle Pro-X, the handles rotate freely making it easier on my joints compared to a straight bar.

Top Benefits Of The TrakBar 30
Adjustable Grip Width
The adjustable grip width is the best part about the TrakBar 30.
Instead of having several cable attachments that are different lengths, I have one that covers 5 widths.
This way I can target different muscles groups with one bar.
The adjustment mechanism is simple.
I insert the Pro-X handles into the groove under the TrakBar, then insert a quick release detent pin through the hole to lock the handle in place.
Here’s what that looks like from the bottom.
The pin head is on the left, the handle’s eye hook is inside the groove in the middle, and the pin comes out on the other side.
And here’s a look from the back side.
You can see the back of the pin has a metal ball that locks it in place so the handle isn’t going anywhere.
When I want to adjust the width, I press the button on the front of the pin and the metal ball goes inside the pin.
Natural Movement
Straight bars lock my hands into one position so my hands are either prone or supine (supine feels terrible on my elbow).
With the TrakBar 30 and rotating Pro-X handles, my forearms are free to rotate so my wrists and shoulders rotate naturally so I avoid joint pain.
Bicep curls with a straight bar are one of those exercises that doesn’t feel good on my right elbow.
Using the TrakBar and Pro-X handles keeps me in the game cause the handles rotate throughout the entire range of motion.
At the bottom, I start with the handles in a neutral position and as I curl, they twist and I ended up like in an EZ curl bar position.
One Bar, Many Exercises
Since I have multiple grip widths to choose from, I can use the same bar for different variations of exercises.
I can do rows, lat pulldowns, bicep curls, and more with a wide, narrow, or neutral grip.
The TrakBar 30 is mainly for pulling cable exercises like rows, lat pulldowns, bicep curls, face pulls, but I also use it for tricep extensions.
Best Features Of The TrakBar 30
Heavy Duty Stainless Steel
The bar is solid and can handle up to 500 lbs so I’m not worried about it ever bending.
I like the stainless steel look especially being in a humid garage gym so I don’t have to worry about it getting rusty.
Multiple Attachment Points
There’s 5 holes on each side of the bar so I can change grip width in a matter of seconds instead of having to grab another bar.
I clip the Pro-X handles with a quick release detent pin so I know the handles aren’t going anywhere unless I push the button on the pin.
31″ Length
At 31″ long, the bar is long enough that I can do wide grip exercises but still compact enough that it doesn’t take up a ton of space.
Compatible With Rotating Handles
The bar is made for the TrakHandle Pro-X handles, so I have free rotation so it’s easier on my wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
As a side note, I have tested it with basic D-handles so it does work for other handles, you just won’t get the 3-axis movement the Pro-X handles provide.
TrakBar 30 Pros & Cons
Pros
- Adjustable: I have 5 grip widths to work with
- Build: Made out of thick, stainless thick
- Natural movement: Since it’s made for the Pro-X rotating handles, my joints can move in a natural range of motion
- Versatile: I use for several exercises like rows, lat pulldowns, tricep extensions, face pulls, straight arm pulldowns, etc
Cons
- Handle specific: It is made specifically for the TrakHandle Pro-X which are not included with the bar
- Investment: Costs more than a basic straight bar cable attachment
TrakBar 30 Price
The TrakBar 30 sells for $98 which is not a bad price but note that this is just for the bar.
You’ll still need to purchase the Pro-X handles ($150) that are sold separately.
So all in, TrakBar and handles, you’re looking at spending around $250.
TrakFitness TrakBar 30 Discount Code?
TrakFitness currently doesn’t have any active coupon codes and I haven’t found discounts anywhere online.
So what you see is the best price you’ll get at the moment…
TrakBar 30 Alternatives
UClips Back Bar
The UClips Back Bar is a cable attachment with several functions.
I can attach any D-handle to it, it has built-in neutral grip handles on the outside, it works like a barbell jack, and also as a landmine row handle.
So to say it’s versatile is an understatement.
Gym Pin Holey Bar
The Gym Pin Holey Bar has some similar functions to the TrakBar 30.
It has multiple width selections and I can attach handles that rotate freely.
If you like doing landmine barbell exercises, this one has a hole in the middle so it works as a handle for barbell rows.
Ironmaster Ultimte Row Handle
The Ironmaster Ultimate Row Handle has 8 width adjustments on each side and uses pop pins to slide the handles easily from side to side.
But the handles are in fixed positions (neutral grip and semi-pronated/semi-supinated) so there is no rotation.
This one also has a center hole for barbell landmine rows.
My Hands-On Experience Using The TrakBar 30
I really like the variety of pulling exercises I can do with the TrakBar.
Face pulls are one of my favorites to do because the handles rotate freely like if I was using a tricep rope.
Being able to change grip widths with a single bar helps to reduce clutter since I can do all my cable pulls with one piece.
I wasn’t a fan of doing neutral grip bicep curls with the TrakHandle Pro-X’s attached to the bar.
Those feel better using the handles directly connected to the cable machine.
Final Verdict: Is The TrakBar 30 Worth It?
If you already own the TrakHandle Pro-X handles and do a lot of cable pulling exercises, the TrakBar 30 is worth buying.
It gives you options that most cable options don’t have: adjustable grip widths with rotating handles.
So you can change grip positions with one bar while keeping the exercises joint friendly.
TrakBar 30 FAQ’s
Is the TrakBar 30 compatible with the TrakHandle Sport?
No, it’s not. The TrakHandle Sport has short eye hooks that won’t work with this cable attachment.
Does the TrakBar 30 come with handles?
No. You’ll have to buy the TrakHandle Pro-X separately.
Can you use the TrakBar 30 with other handles?
Yes, depending on the handle. I used some cheap D-handles and they worked, but the TrakBar 30 was made specifically to have the free motion that the Pro-X handles have.
What exercises can I do with the TrakBar 30?
It works well for most cable machine pulling exercises. Lat pulldowns, seated cable rows, straight arm pull downs, tricep extensions, and face pulls are some common ones. Because you can change the handle widths, it works for close grip and wide grip exercises.
