Foldable & Telescoping Frame
The folding and telescoping frame is this product’s biggest feature. This is what makes this different than other power towers I’ve seen out there.
If you’re short on space, this matters most than almost anything else.
Adjustable Pullup Bar
I can easily adjust the height of the pullup bar to 4 settings by telescoping the uprights up and down from 40″ to 82.8″.
This is good because my kids can also jump in on the action.
Adjustable Dip Handles
The dip handles have 7 different height settings where I can use them.
This opens up more exercises I can do with them: push-ups, dips, inverted rows, and even neutral grip pull-ups.
Non-slip Handles
The pull-up bar is lined with a foam like material that feels comfortable and is non-slip but I’ll have to see how it does over time. I would’ve prefer if the pull-up bar was knurled so there’s nothing that can rip.
For the dip handles, they’re using a rubberized grip that’s nothing out of this world but gets the job done.
8 Stabilizing Feet
The Joroto folding power tower has 8 adjustable rubber feet on each side. They twist and adjust up and down and are similar to the leveling feet used on my air bike.
With these feet I’m able to stabilize the power tower on uneven floor’s like the slope of my garage.

- Easy assembly: I didn’t need to mount anything or any tools to get this set up. Unfolded legs, extended uprights, and twisted several knobs, that’s it!
Cons
- Freestanding: Feet help stabilize it but it’s still a freestanding machine so it’s not gonna feel as planted as a wall mounted or rack mounted pull-up bar.
- Not for explosive moves: I don’t recommend doing kipping pull-ups or CrossFit style workouts on this. This is better for strict reps.
- Taller users: Max height on the pull-up bar is 82.8″ so if you’re taller and don’t want to bend your legs, it might not be a good fit.

The Bull Bar ($399) is the first folding power tower I ever saw.
It folds up using an accordion-like mechanism so there’s no telescoping mechanism on the original (height is 81″).
Bull Bar does have a height adjustable version that extends up to 94.5″ tall and sells for $499.
Outdoor Pullup And Dip Bar
The outdoor pullup and dip bar by Pullup & Dip is portable and can be mounted on posts and trees.
It has a unique design where the pullup bar can be flipped upside down and used as a dip bar.
This also comes apart so I can store it in a bookbag when I’m done using.
Doorway Pullup And Dip Bar
The doorway pullup and dip bar fits on any doorway and is great for those who don’t have a lot of floor space.
It mounts to the doorframe without the need to drill anything and is supported by gravity and my bodyweight.
I can’t do pushups on this one like with a tower but I can still knock out the more difficult exercises.
My Hands-On Experience Using The Joroto Folding Power Tower
The first thing I liked about the Joroto folding power tower is that it’s designed for people with limited space (most home gym owners).
It’s not a huge piece of equipment that’s going to take over half of my garage bay. It’s made to hit calisthenics basics and fold away when I’m done.
I like that it’s height adjustable for both pull-ups and dips. For dips, it’s just a matter of inserting the handles into holes so it’s super simple. Pull-ups require a little bit extra work but it’s not time consuming. I just twist a couple knobs and I set the uprights to the height I want.
One thing I really like is having the ability to adjust the height because I can make it shorter for my kids to use.
The biggest advantage to this piece of equipment is having the ability to fold it away when I’m done. It really takes up no space, I just shove it into a corner.
I wouldn’t recommend this for explosive movements and CrossFit workouts. Kipping pull-ups, swinging toes to bar, muscle ups, or any other movement that includes a lot of momentum could cause this to tip over.
For regular, controlled bodyweight exercises, it has some slight movement but nothing that throws me off.

This power tower is worth it for people who want a foldable, adjustable, space saving pull-up and dip station for home workouts.
Its biggest advantage is having the convenience to do multiple exercises in one station that I can then store away in a corner or closet.
It’s not the best choice for aggressive exercises like kipping pull-ups, muscle ups, toes to bar, or anything CrossFit-like.
But for strict bodyweight training, I can do a lot without having to buy a full rack or mount a pull-up bar on my walls.
