The Mr Infinity Nordic strap is a great alternative if you’re short on cash or just don’t have space for a Nordic curl bench.
And just like the premium strap on the Mr Infinity sled I reviewed, it’s not made with cheap materials.
The purpose of the strap is to hold my legs down while doing Nordic curls on a weight bench I already own.
I gotta admit, I thought Nordic straps were just for Nordic curls but there’s other ways to use them.
Keep reading and I’ll show you how you can use a strap for several exercises.

Table of Contents
The Nordic strap comes folded up in a small box.
First thing that comes to mind is that this is gonna be excellent for small garage gym owners.
There’s four pieces inside the box.
A travel bag, the Nordic strap, a stopper, and a padded sleeve.
I slid the Nordic strap into the sleeve first.
To make this easier, feed the strap pointing down so gravity helps you.
The backside of the sleeve has padding.
Once I set up for Nordic curls on my weight bench and tighten the strap, the padded sleeve sits on top of my legs.
Then I added the stopper to the strap and for most people this won’t be necessary.
The stopper is there for extra security if you’re doing explosive Nordics during the concentric portion of the exercise.
It’s rated at 750 lbs of force and meant to prevent the strap from sliding off the buckle’s grip.
The buckle is made of zinc alloy metal and feels heavy.
Right on the side of the buckle there’s instructions on how to feed the strap through it.
Make sure to feed the strap through the bottom of the buckle so that it stays in place securely.
Specs
- Strap length: 6 feet
- Strap width: 2 inches
- Break strength: 1200 lbs
- Buckle: Zinc alloy metal
How To Use The Mr Infinity Nordic Strap
I’m using the Mr Infinity Nordic strap on my PRx incline bench which is wall mounted but this can be used on any weight bench.
The only difference when using other benches will be the strap set up.
For this kind of bench I have to secure the strap after I have my legs on the bench.
With any other type of weight bench the strap can be fed through the buckle before.
Then I can slide the buckled strap through the end of the bench.
Then I just slide my legs under the strap and pull the other end until the strap wraps around my legs tightly.
The padded sleeve sits right above my ankles to cushion my legs.
Once the strap feels snug around my legs, it’s time do knock out some Nordic curls.
Nordic Curl Bench Alternative
Whether you’re trying to save money or just don’t have the space for a dedicated Nordic bench, the strap is a great alternative.
A big advantage of the Nordic strap is that it takes no additional space in a home gym.
It’s smaller than a 5 lbs iron weight plate when I fold it up.
Once I’m done I toss it in the travel bag it comes with…
And hang it anywhere I find space like on my band pegs.
This takes zero floor space and helps me keep my home gym organized.
Other Nordic Strap Uses
I’m glad I found this video while digging through YouTube because it shows other ways I can use the Nordic strap.
The video shows how to use the strap for tib raises, hip flexor raises, and ankle mobility using a dumbbell.
All useful exercises if you’re an athlete trying to strengthen your lower body or anyone following the Knees Over Toes Guy program.
