In this Rogue Slice sled review I’ll share my experience with this compact yet beefy sled.
As with all Rogue Fitness equipment, the sled is overbuilt and made of solid steel.
Although it’s small, once I picked it off the floor it’s much heavier than I thought it would be.
Let’s check it out!
Features
The Rogue Slice sled comes standard as a push pull sled.
So I got the sled strap for pulls and drags.
And the handles for pushes.
I’ll break all these different pieces in detail below.
Handles
The two handles measure about 37″ in length and are removable.
The back of the weight sled has two circular slots where the posts insert into.
Slots are deep enough so the handles don’t slip out when doing sled pushes.
Here’s what the handles look like when they’re on the weight sled.
Center Weight Post
The center weight post has a loadable length of 14″ and is bolted down so it swivels up and down.
This is similar to the Mr Infinity multi purpose sled I’ve reviewed in the past.
With a weight capacity of 300+ lbs, the center post can handle a bunch of Olympic sized bumper plates or iron weight plates.
I like the center post fold down feature on these weight sleds because it makes them easy to store when not in use.
Being attached to the sled makes it easier to keep everything together.
The Freak Athlete sled I tested previously doesn’t have a center post that is bolted down.
It goes in and out of the center hole just like the handles.
I love that sled because it’s completely collapsible but at the same time that’s another piece that I have to find a place for.
Sled Strap
The sled strap is 16 feet long and has a loop at each end.
It feels tough like seatbelt material yet very comfortable.
It comes with a carabiner to clip to the front end of the weight sled.
And at the other end is the other loop.
I can feed the sled belt through itself and wrap it around my waist for reverse sled pulls.
Accessories
Plastic Skis
Rogue has an option to add plastic skis to the bottom of the sled.
And since I do sled workouts in my driveway, this was a must.
Not only do the plastic skis protect the weight sled but it also prevents it from being noisy when sliding it on concrete.
Extra Strap
I also had the option of adding an additional strap which I didn’t get.
The end loops on one strap can go on both shoulders for sled drags.
I mainly use the strap when doing reverse sled pulls so I didn’t need the extra one.

Push Pull Weight Sled
The Rogue Slice sled is a push pull sled.
When I first picked it up I couldn’t believe how heavy it was since it’s so compact.
The push pull sled is great for conditioning workouts, athletes looking to get stronger and faster, or those following the Knees Over Toes Guy program.
Surfaces
Since I added the plastic skis on the bottom, I can use the Rogue Slice on concrete.
And of course, it can also be used on grass.
When doing grass pushes, I have to get real low on the handles or the nose will dip down.
This is common with weight sleds of all shapes and sizes.
Storage
Since the center weight post folds down and the handles are removable, the Rogue Slice sled can be stored easily.
I can stand up against a wall so it doesn’t take up much space at all.
Or sometimes I like to go to the park and this fits easily in my car’s trunk.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Compact: Small in size but still functions well for all types of sled workouts
- Push pull sled: Comes with two handles and a strap for push pull workouts
- Storage: I can store the weigh sled flat against the wall because of the removable handles and folding center post
- Build: Solid steel build and feels very dense even without any weight plates on it
- Multi-surface: I can use it on grass, concrete, and other surfaces
Cons
- Grass: Pushing the sled on grass can be tricky (like most sleds) so to prevent nose diving I have to get real low
Rogue Slice Sled Review
Just like other Rogue Fitness products, the quality is what you’d expect.
Thick, heavy duty steel, with black powder coat finish that will last me a lifetime.
I dig how compact this weight sled is which makes it easy to store.
And although it’s small in size, I get the same push pull sled functionality of bigger sleds.
