The PRx spotter arm storage wall mount is something I’ve been wanting for a while.

I don’t know about you, but once I’m done using my spotter arms they go from my weight rack straight to the floor.

And until now I had no way to store them.

That’s where this PRx wall mount comes in handy.

Here’s how the spotter arm storage mount comes packaged.

I took out the wrapping paper and there it is.

Solid powder coated steel like all PRx products.

And here it is out of the box.

Nothing fancy but a genius solution to get my spotter arms off the floor.

I’ve mounted a PRx landmine attachment, weight rack, dumbbell storage rack, GHD, and other things on my wall so this shouldn’t be too hard to pull off.

This is what the back of the mount looks like.

It’s all flat since it sits flush on the wall.

I also picked up the backer plate that goes behind it.

This is optional but I picked it up cause it goes with my black and red garage gym theme.

It’s a piece of thin metal that protects my wall from dings when I load the spotter arms on the storage mount.

I’ll give you a closer look at it later on.

Spotter Arm Compatibility

According to PRx, the spotter arm storage is compatible with their Profile PRO or Profile ONE spotter arms.

As you can tell from the holes on the spotter arm storage mount, it works with 5/8″ pin and 1″ pins.

I have 3×3 Titan spotter arms with 5/8″ holes and they work fine so they’re not just for PRx branded equipment.

PRx Spotter Arm Storage Backer Plates

The backer plates are not necessary to hang the spotter arms but they protect my wall from dents.

PRx has these available in 6 colors: black, orange, white, red, blue, and neon green.

Here’s what the backer plate will look like with the storage mount once I install it on my wall.

As you can see the backer plate is wide enough to cover way more than the length of my spotter arms so it’s made to fit different sizes.

And my spotter arms will sit on the storage vertically by inserting the pin through the 5/8″ holes.

Now it’s time to show you how I got this on my wall…

Installation

First thing I did was find my wall stud with a stud finder.

For this project I’m going for a single stud.

If I wanted to install it on two wall studs, the spotter arm storage has holes for studs 12″ and 16″ apart.

Once I find my wall stud, I make sure the storage is leveled horizontally.

After it’s level, I match the holes on the storage to the center of my wall stud.

Here’s a close up of what I’m looking for to make the installation is correct.

First I’ll make sure the air bubble on my level is in between the two vertical black lines.

Then I make a pencil mark on the center of the stud inside the top and bottom holes on the storage so I know where to pre-drill.

Now I make two pilot holes where I made the pencil marks.

I do this so that the lag bolts I’ll be screwing in don’t split the wall studs.

The hardest part of this installation is now done and that was easy.

Then all I did was match the holes on the backer plate and storage to the holes I drilled and screwed the lag bolts in.

The screws on the sides are going through the sheetrock anchors.

Now that the backer plate and storage are on the wall, I inserted each spotter arm through the 5/8″ hole.

If your spotter arms have 1″ pins then use the wider hole.

That’s all there’s to it.

Cons

Requires handiness: Even though it’s a basic installation, you need a little bit of handiness to find wall studs. If you’re not handy, just have someone do it for you.
