Titan Fitness Dip Bar Review

The Titan Fitness dip bar is a must have accessory for any garage gym.

In this review I’ll be discussing the X-3 Series Y Dip Bar which is a single bar compatible with 3 x 3 racks.

Your rack doesn’t even have to own a Titan Fitness rack for this to work; my rack is made by PRx Performance.

The Titan dip bar is solid piece of equipment that should last you a lifetime at an affordable price and without taking up a lot of valuable garage space.

When I first got the dip bar, I was surprised at how big and well built it is.

For size comparison purposes, I put a 45 lbs plate inside the handles so you can see how big it is.

I was expecting something smaller but this sucker is literally indestructable.

And it makes sense since it has to hold your body weight (or more) suspended in the air safely.

Dip Bar Attachment

Attaching the dip bar to your rack is pretty straight forward.

You simply match the holes on your rack with the holes on the base of the dip bar and stick a locking hitch pin through.

Then secure the hitch pin in place at the other end with a locking pin and you’re ready to work out!

CAUTION

If your rack is NOT anchored to the floor or wall, it’s recommended that you attach the dip bar to the inside of the rack to avoid the rack from tipping over.

Dip Bar Exercises

Aside from the obvious dip, there are many other exercises that can be done on the Titan Fitness dip bar.

The one hitch pin locking mechanism makes it easy to move the dip bar to different locations on your rack.

Here’s a list of some exercises you can do:

  • Inverted rows for the middle back
  • Leg raises or L-sits for the abdominals
  • Neutral grip pullups for the back

To make the dip bar exercises more challenging I add either a weight vest or the dip belt with weights.

Titan Dip Bar Price

The X-3 Series Y Dip Bar is $79 on Titan’s website.

The beauty about Titan Fitness is that they don’t charge any additional fees for shipping so it’s really a hell of a deal.

If price is something that’s holding you back from building your garage gym, make sure you check out my discount gym equipment page for great deals and coupons.

Other Dip Bars

Titan also sells two other sized dip bars.

They a single T-3 Series Y Dip Bar which is similar to the one you see in the video above but it’s made for 2 x 3 racks.

And the T-3 Series Power Rack dip bars.

T-3 Series Power Rack Bars

Unlike the Y dip bars which only use up one upright, the T-3 series bars are two pieces and each one goes on its own upright so you do your exercises in the middle of the rack.

The T-3 dips bars are compatible with 2 x 3 racks.

Compare To Rogue Matador

Rogue Monster Matador

When you compare the Titan Fitness dip bar to the Rogue Monster Matador, they both look very similar.

But the price is a big difference.

The Rogue Monster Matador, which fits 3 x 3 racks, sells for $145 versus Titan’s $79.

I don’t know about you but for a piece of equipment that has the same functionality and similar build, I’d rather go with Titan and spend the difference somewhere else.

Titan Fitness Dip Bar Conclusion

For the low price, the Titan Fitness dip bar is a must have.

Not only does it make sense financially but it eliminates the need for a stand alone dip station which can take up a lot of space in a garage gym or home gym.

Once you’re done, just place the dip bar in a corner or organize it on your wall like I do so it’s completely out of the way.

So now you know how easy, yet sturdy the Titan Fitness dip bar is.

It’s affordable and takes up little space.
